Meet Bowie! He’s a male Boxer mix that’s about a year and a half old. Unfortunately, he does not get along with cats so we are looking for a home for him where he’s more comfortable. He’s partially house trained and knows basic commands. He needs someone that is able to give him patience as he’s spent almost his whole life in a shelter. He was first adopted out of the shelter for six months, and then spent awhile back in the shelter before we adopted him four months ago. He is super energetic and playful, but loves a good cuddle on the couch with a movie playing. He would excel in an only pet household where he can get the attention and time that he requires.

Lafayette is 5 years old, and was adopted from Oceanside San Diego Humane Society in May 2024. He has brought so much joy to us and we love him. Lafayette loves long walks, cuddles, kisses, our cat, treats, and stopping to smell the roses. He is gentle and sweet. Everyone that comes into our home, he remembers and loves forever. He loves to play tug-a-war, chewing on his toys, and sharing Cheeto puffs with my husband. He’s good with commands and overall the best good boy. But he has severe isolation distress. He cannot be left alone. He can be extremely destructive, and as much as we love him, we cannot afford the training he needs to overcome his anxiety. And because we love him so much, we know that Lafayette deserves a home that can provide the best care for him.

Nala was adopted from Baja Animal Sanctuary. She is 11 months old and has ton of energy. At first Nala can be shy but once she warms up to you (that being after she licked you a 100x) she shows you her wild side. I was told she was a Rottweiler but after she became bigger she didn’t look like a Root. I became curious and got a DNA test. You can see the DNA results in the her pictures above. Nala is great with kids and other dogs. Nala would be great dog for anyone regardless if you have already a dog or children. She has been through an obedience class and she understands “sit, down, leave it and come.” If you love doggy kisses you are in luck as Nala loves to give a lot of kisses. Nala is also crate trained and potty trained.
