This beautiful guy is Chili who was rescued in the knick of time from the Downey shelter in LA.Chili is very sweet and playful, but can easily get over stimulated and gets very excited when meeting a new person and starts jumping. Chili is in need of someone who can give him the exercise he needs and can handle his very exuberant personality. Therefore we are looking for a very calm, alpha human who can be a leader to him, preferably with Boxer experience. We are looking for a home for him where he will be the only pet with no children. Once he knows you Chili is actually is a very loving and affectionate guy who loves to play, really likes toys and loves to play fetch. He walks on the leash like an angel but gets excited when he seed other dogs, but gets along fine when meeting them. Chili is neutered, chipped, and up to date on all routine vaccinations. He is about 5 years old and weighs 65 pounds. Barkley is a fantastic puppy. I haven’t seen any signs of fear toward people—in fact, I see very little fear at all. He seems to be a stable, confident, and balanced little guy. I haven’t noticed any separation anxiety outside the normal scope for a young puppy. He may whine a bit in the crate, but he settles quickly and recovers well. It’s not excessive and well within what’s typical for his age. Barkley is very patient during training. He follows a lure beautifully, and it’s easy to shape new behaviors with him. We’re currently working on marker words and leash skills, and he’s picking up the concepts quickly. This is going to be an easy dog to train. He’s also very neutral to loud noises and environmental stimuli, which is a great trait in a puppy. His energy level is mild—not over the top—which makes him a really enjoyable companion. Meet Sunny, age 3. Sunny is 42 pounds, medium size, friendly loving dog. We recently moved and the land lord states just as we signed the lease. NO PETS. Not even a fish! Sunny is a happy, well behaved. Sunny is well trained. Sit, stay, down, up, kisses, hugs, go outside, easy, gimme paw or gimme five, speak, and he will howl with you! Sunny is very communicative in a cute way! Trained as a SERVICE DOG. Sunny can even help you up and down the stairs. Sunny loves to snuggle and sleep with you. He loves to eat his kibble and cheese sticks, going on walks. Sunny will alert when some one is at the door or a potential threat. (Husband used to be a Deputy) Sunny does NOT bark all day when you are not home. Sunny can hold his bladder for up to 12 hours. He is housed trained. Please feel free to reach out! Sunny is AMAZING! But dogs like Laika are resilient and they will bond again they just need their chance to meet new humans to care for. Laika has so much love to give. She lives for human companionship. She thrives in a home setting so adjusting to our ranch environment has been a little hard for her. Thankfully her time in doggie daycare while adopted has given her the positive social skills she needed to live with dozens of other dogs in our rescue ranch setting but still Laika wants her own home. Laika started her journey with us in 2022 as a tiny 6 week old underage puppy. She and her littermates were all almost identical in looks and had all been dumped when a Good Samaritan brought them into the shelter. We pulled the whole litter and they all quickly came down with parvo. Every puppy was a fighter and every puppy survived under the medical care of our vets. Laika finally found an adoptive family at 4 months old. That family sadly a year later had their own medical complications and Laika came back into our care. This sweet girl has been through a lot but she’s ready to start over and find a new home. During her time with us we have discovered that she suffers from a seizure disorder. Thankfully seizures in dogs are easily controlled with medication and our vet has gotten her started on the meds she will now take for life. Laika has so much love to give we are hopeful her disorder doesn’t deter future adopters. It really is so easy to treat and Laika deserves to have a family to love imperfections and all. If they’re looking for a dog friendly walking buddy who’s great on leash, if you’re looking for a super affectionate girl who has some house skills from her time adopted Laika just might be the dog for you.
