Story

At two and a half months old, Bingo was found alone in a field and scared. It was discovered shortly after that that he had two congenital heart defects. Right now, one compensates for the other. We do not know what this means for Bingo long-term, but he has no idea he is sick and lives life to the fullest. Bingo is a playful young dog that is approximately one year old. Bingo enjoys his dog and human friends. He has no exercise limitations, so we allow Bingo to self-regulate. Although he would not make a good hiking or running companion, he loves running and playing with friends. He has never met a toy that he doesn’t love. He can self-entertain with a ball for a long time. Bingo is crate-trained but can also be left in the house freely without concern for destruction. He loves snuggling on the couch and sleeping on the human’s bed. Bingo has been raised in a home with several dogs and would prefer to live with another doggy resident. Bingo enjoys outings to the park, lake, and patio restaurants. He is a great companion and snuggly buddy!

Story

Zeus is very smart and playful, he loves toys and learns routines quickly. Zeus loves to play chase and tug anytime. He is learning his manners well, but he still barks and gets excited easily so he may do best somewhere he has a little space to play on his own. He is very friendly with other people, he wants to play and will go get his toys and attempt to engage you in tug of war. He likes to chase balls but is still learning “drop”. If you have a couple toys to alternate with, he will fetch. He loves belly rubs. Zeus loves his treats but is pretty mellow about mealtimes. He will take food from your hand gently. We give him food 3 times a day and he often eats it slowly throughout the day, he doesn’t gobble food or overeat. When we need to give him pills he will eat a spoon of peanut butter with meds with no problem. Zeus crates well; he will go in there easily if you point inside and often takes naps in there on his own. His foster parents are home a lot so he is a little spoiled with attention, but he is used to being in his crate alone for a few hours at a time. He is both affectionate and sometimes self-sufficient. He likes to be with you or cuddle, and he also seems comfortable napping in the ‘other’ room. We have not tested Zeus with cats but he has a strong chase/hunt instinct and always goes after birds or squirrels. Zeus is sweet but he does get excited and can jump or be a rough player. He is learning not to jump up so much, but he does seem to like standing up on his hind legs. He is also pretty vocal when he is playing

Hi, I am Traviesa aka Travi! I am so happy in a home with those that love me. I don’t mind having other dog friends. I absolutely love to eat and will bark to let you know when it is time. If you want something from me, bring on the treats as I am very food motivated! I know how to sit, come and crate easily. I really don’t mind going in my crate for the night and sleep well until morning. I will quietly let you know when it’s time to get up and go out. My foster mom makes sure to have some water available in the crate for me. Sometimes I even like to rest in my crate during the day and chew on a bone – no need to close the door. I’m curious about cats and not sure they are great housemates for me. I love to tell you how my day has been or tell you a story if you have time to listen and some say, I am sassy! I also am working on my kitchen manners but do not beg for food at the table. Travi will be a wonderful addition to any family. She is loving, easygoing, and VERY talkative.

A few of our VERY lucky boxers have had their ADOPTION FEES sponsored, this includes Butterbean! My foster mama says I am a stout, burley chap who is warm, fun-loving, energetic, and playful, bundle of joy. I thrive dishing out out oodles of love, affection and gratitude. Walks are my jam although we are working on fundamental skills. Potty training is solid. Other pups excite me and I want to greet them, but I’ve been keeping some distance as I was on the mend from an eyelid repair. I dig my foster brother and we peacefully coexist. Squeaky chew toys are heaven and I’m adept at gleefully destroying them. Cuddles with mom and my foster brother are also terrific. I am super food motivate and know sit and down. Essentially, I’m terrific all-around pup. I am learning about physical boundaries and do like to swipe my paws on occasion. I’m likely but suited in home with older kids or without. Hi! They call me “Handsome Man Dave”. I am a bit on the smaller size at 48 pounds but I am a solid ball of muscle so don’t discount me because I’m small. I just love to run and be goofy like a typical boxer does. I REALLY like doggy friends so I need friends that are confident and like to wrestle. I am also happy to have 1:1 time with my humans. I love spending time with my humans, playing ball, tug, hide and seek games. I love running so if that is something you like, count me in! My foster mom says I’m a good boy in the house. My foster mom promotes calmness in the house so I can be a good decision-maker. I am house-broken and crate trained. Once I get my wiggles out, I am happy to chill out on a bed and chew a bone. I am working on polite leash manners and I feel so much better when I’m on my park walks. I get so excited to see humans and dogs that I sometimes forget and bark to say hi. I haven’t met a human that I didn’t like. I know they all love me as much as I love them. So I will be sure to share all of my boxer wonderfulness with humans when I first meet them. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, gregarious boxer then maybe we could be a match!

She very playful. She’s been treated like a human for the most part. She loves to cuddles and play. She loves to find the area with the most pillows and blankets to take a nap. She’s obsessed with food . We taught her how to sit and wait to be told to eat before she eats. When she needs to use the bathroom she will go to the door and bark, she will most likely like throw her butt onto it and sit down. She likes to play tug of war and fetch. She will bring it back if you say bring it back. She know how to speak and lay down. She nibbles but just puts your hand in her mouth to hold it . Sometimes she does get carried away because she is a puppy. She also loves to bite hair ! But we always brought her around family, kids, and my moms tiny dogs. She gets overly excited about being around other dogs and may overstimulate the other dog and lead to a fight. Can not trust off leash. She has past trauma of my abusive ex. We are in portland, OR
