Story
This little girl has all the energy and spunk you would expect from a puppy. And such a personality! Nomad loves to run and play....chase, wrestle, play tug-o-war, and leap like a gazelle. She loves her sister Gypsy, and loves people. She wants to be wherever you are, and is up for whatever you are doing. She is a puppy, which means she will need to learn how to behave in polite society....which she will quickly master. Nomad is an intelligent, playful, beautiful little pup. She is here at the sanctuary just waiting to be discovered and taken home. If you would like to know more, come meet her, and hopefully take her home, call the sanctuary in Willits at (707) 459-4900.

Story
Our fosters say it best: I don't say this lightly but my current foster dog, Hershey, is the easiest foster we've had. I think he's our 54th foster so this is huge!! He is a sweet 6 month old Staffie mix. Medium size. His colors / markings are stunning . He is super friendly to everyone: people, dogs, cats (just a brief exposure to my cat but he was completely unreactive) He has a perfect energy level. Zoomies, couch potato, walk, repeat. He's a great sleeper. He's sleeping through the night in his crate but I bet he would love to sleep on your bed if that's okay with you. . He does still have puppy tendencies including trying to eat things he shouldn't but is easily redirected. We estimate him to be about 60+ pounds at maturity.

Story
Gabby is a pretty brindled lady brand new to FAAS. She`s calm, friendly and easy to walk and interact with, all hallmarks of a great addition to your family.&#10&#10* 8 years old&#10* 61 lbs&#10* Ignores and possibly likes other dogs&#10* Sweet, friendly and calm &#10* Easy to handle and harness&#10* Playful&#10* No-drama pup&#10&#10A well-adjusted senior, Gabby seems more interested in taking in the sights and sniffing the breeze than frantically checking pee-mail or getting into shouting matches with other dogs. We can easily imagine her snoozing on our couch, sitting at our feet while we work, or helping us run errands in dog-friendly stores.&#10Come meet her any afternoon but Mondays at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter in Alameda, California!

Story
My boyfriend brought Sadie home when she was just a puppy. She's an incredibly sweet dog who loves people and would probably love to have another dog to play with. She's never had any obedience training, so she can be a little difficult to walk because she's very strong and will pull very hard. I would never let her off leash outside. My boyfriend left and couldn't take Sadie with him, and she's too much responsibility for me to care for on my own. I work full time and so she's home alone most of the day. I walk her every night and try and spend several hours with her every evening. She's high energy and love's to play outside, but she's an indoor dog and I would never leave her outside during the day or overnight. She's very strong and excitable and could easily knock over a child or older person. She has a big bark that would scare away any intruder, but she's never attacked or growled or snarled at another person or animal. She's 4.5yo and a purebred.

Story
Daisy is a 5 year old purebred boxer. She is energetic but is a cuddler as long as you hide all the dog toys. She has a lot of agility and loves to go on hikes and camping trips. She is loyal and will stay near you as long as she builds that bond. She is a passive dog and there has not been a dog that she has not gotten along with and we have had her around a lot of dogs during her life. She went to puppy training as well as would go spend days and weekends at doggie daycare with never any issues. Unfortunately, due to job changes we are away from the home about 8-10 hours daily and aren’t able to give Daisy the life or the exercise she once had. We also have 2 kids that take priority when it comes to time at home etc. although we don’t want to rehome her we feel that her quality of life has diminished and we want more for her. If you are a family that maybe one of you works from home and live a very active lifestyle (with other dogs or with children) I do believe she would be perfect
