Story
Enzo is a tender, affectionate and friendly boy but also shy. Calm and submissive temperament. He gets along perfectly with other dogs, cats and even children of all ages. Enzo is a low-activity dog who prefers to spend his time sleeping or just lying down. It is the ideal companion to spend long moments of peace. It is not noisy; He barks little and does not howl. He may be shy at first but once he gains confidence you will meet a very sweet dog who will follow you everywhere. He loves eating treats, taking naps in the sun, taking quiet walks, and cuddling with each other. It is not destructive or bite things. You can put clothes on him or leave him with a harness without problem. He knows how to sit, wait for his food and walk on a leash. He has experience living with other dogs of different ages and sizes, both females and males, and with cats. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Meet Abby! This beautiful 7-month-old, 28-pound princess is truly the most adorable and cute little girl you'll ever meet. She is a little survivor of 12, her mom was abandoned and at one day old, Abby and her 11 siblings were left in a box in the middle of nowhere with no shade. When we came for them after receiving a report from a neighbor of the owner, there were only 5 babies left alive, and we found the rest already dead inside a plastic bag with a knot in it. Abby grew up happy with her litter, they are very active and loving little ones. She is learning to walk on her leash, lives well with dogs and cats and is the most chubby of her litter. She is the smiliest and is very intelligent. It would be ideal for her to grow up in a home with children, she likes walks and although she is a little shy at first, she usually comes out of her shell quickly. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Story
Ivy is a Courtesy Post Only and is not a Second Chance Dog Rescue dog. SCDR is not responsible for any ownership, behavior, health, and representations made by the owner with respect to this dog. You must contact her adoption coordinator Ana at Ana@thriveanimalrescue.com for further information.  Ivy is a sweet, silly, cuddly, and affectionate girl - as of September 2024, she has been with us waiting for her forever family for over 456 days which is mind-blowing to staff at Thrive because of how great of a dog she is. Let's prioritize giving this lovebug a much deserved home for her to call her own!! Personality : She is a medium to high energy dog who loves to play - she enjoys mental and physical stimulation such as going for hikes or long walks/runs. She loves playing with other dogs and her people friends, but then she’s happy to relax and sunbathe in the yard after to decompress. Her favorite move is to flop on her back and show you her belly to ask for rubs :) Her Boxer zoomies will make you laugh! Training : Ivy has been going to doggie day care multiple times per week to hang out with all of her dog friends and has been doing great!! Despite her roughhousing playstyle with other large dogs, she is extremely gentle with puppies. She walks nicely on a leash and knows basic commands.  Ivy is on a special low-fat diet and we recommend that adopters keep her on this upon adoption to ensure she’s in tip-top health. The perfect forever family : She would do great in an active household with a young couple who loves to hike or go on adventures, and is good with kids 13+. She would likely love another active doggie friend. Ivy is available for a long-term committed foster or forever family. For further information or to meet Ivy, please contact Ana, Adoption Coordinator at Ana@thriveanimalrescue.com.  December 10, 2024, 4:48 pm

Story
I’m looking to rehome our loving dog, Haole, who has been part of our family for 8 years. Due to increasing health issues and severe allergies among young children and new babies in our family, we’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to find a new, caring home for him. Haole is a very loyal, energetic, protective, goofy, playful, and affectionate companion who deserves a home where he can continue to thrive. He’s also house trained, but he can get overly excited and curious in new places. If you or someone you know is interested in providing a loving environment for him, please reach out 🤍
