We’d like to shine a light on a couple of adult large breed dogs dear to us with another small, local rescue Boxers Mutts & Wiggle Butts Rescue Please help share their dogs, give them a follow, and show them some of the amazing support you show us.❤️🐾❤️ First, we have Sookie! We first learned of Sookie 8 months ago. A property owner saw her and another dog thrown out of a pickup truck abandoned in the orchards. The man admitted to shooting at her several times. She was skin and bones when found. Unable to take her in ourselves, we offered to sponsor her food during her time in rescue. At the time we had donations from The Honest Kitchen and that was the best food to help her to gain weight and get back to being healthy. @boxersmuttsnwigglebuttsrescue have done an amazing job getting Sookie healthy and happy again. Sookie is a boxer, 3.5 years old. She LOVES belly rubs but she’s no couch potato, she’d prefer being your running buddy. She knows sit, wait, come, crate and potty trained. She’s great with kids and is gentle with toys. Reach out to her rescue to learn more! 🐾❤️ Get to know Sookie and we are sure she will win your heart. Here is a little bit about her: * LOVES people, adults and kids * very high energy * needs to be the only dog. Not dog/cat friendly * knows sit * knows wait * comes when called * crate trained * is soft with toys and learning fetch * Loooves belly rubs

•Meet Harper••• • She is approximately 6 years old • weighs about 65lbs. •She is very active and enjoys water, walks and hikes. • Treadmill trained •She is crate trained and does well in the house. ••smaller animals are not recommended. We call her Happy Harper. She has a very bubbly personality and loves to do anything fun... swimming is definitely one of her strong loves. Once she knows you she loves you but not in a smushy way. She loves pets and kisses and definitely wants to be where you are. But she is not needy etc... give her something to play with or play ball etc with her and she’s happy. She is crate trained and does very well on a treadmill. A few minutes a day or a couple days a week. Harper is very pretty with beautiful gold eyes. She loves, people, car rides and adventures. She loves water. Her favorite thing is to swim with her human. The good thing about Harper, •she is intelligent and catches on quickly. •Loves to please and will work for rewards. • Very athletic and would make a great running companion. Plenty of energy to keep up. Harper is ready for her new home. The adoption fee is $200 and includes being vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. We prefer she is not placed in a household with smaller dogs and cats. She is good with children but does not like sudden quickness in her direction so we think she needs to be in a home with children who are good with dogs, 10 and older. for any questions or a meet and greet please email haltrescue@gmail.com with Harper in the subject line
