We’d like to shine a light on a couple of adult large breed dogs dear to us with another small, local rescue Boxers Mutts & Wiggle Butts Rescue Please help share their dogs, give them a follow, and show them some of the amazing support you show us.❤️🐾❤️ First, we have Sookie! We first learned of Sookie 8 months ago. A property owner saw her and another dog thrown out of a pickup truck abandoned in the orchards. The man admitted to shooting at her several times. She was skin and bones when found. Unable to take her in ourselves, we offered to sponsor her food during her time in rescue. At the time we had donations from The Honest Kitchen and that was the best food to help her to gain weight and get back to being healthy. @boxersmuttsnwigglebuttsrescue have done an amazing job getting Sookie healthy and happy again. Sookie is a boxer, 3.5 years old. She LOVES belly rubs but she’s no couch potato, she’d prefer being your running buddy. She knows sit, wait, come, crate and potty trained. She’s great with kids and is gentle with toys. Reach out to her rescue to learn more! 🐾❤️ Get to know Sookie and we are sure she will win your heart. Here is a little bit about her: * LOVES people, adults and kids * very high energy * needs to be the only dog. Not dog/cat friendly * knows sit * knows wait * comes when called * crate trained * is soft with toys and learning fetch * Loooves belly rubs

Received him from a coworker. He was too busy to properly care for him. Canelo is 6 years old. I’m looking for a new home where he has room to play, maybe other animals he can interact with. Canelo is very energetic, loves to play be around people, and sometimes forget he’s not a lap dog.

People are all about full body rubs and endless playtime. She absolutely wants to be your constant companion and be wherever all the people are. She’s fun and active and has the puppy energy you’re craving. Games of fetch and yard zoomies are her all time favorites. She's full of puppy curiosity and yes also a bit clumsy like energetic puppies usually are. It adds to her goofy charm and we can guarantee you’re going to love her the moment you meet. Lucky almost wasn’t so lucky. This sweet girl was picked up as a stray by our county shelter and spent a month waiting for her family to show or adopters to choose her. No one ever did. As sad as that could have been our little Lucky found us and had never looked back. She spent a little time at our rescue ranch and is now enjoying puppy life in a wonderful foster home. Her fosters are teaching her all about home life and getting her ready for adoption. Lucky is lots of fun but she’s also super smart. Eager to learn she’s picked up some basic obedience skills and is just starting to work on her leash manners. She loved playing with the other puppies at our ranch and we hope to find her a home with a friendly fun dog she can pal around with. •Meet Harper••• • She is approximately 6 years old • weighs about 65lbs. •She is very active and enjoys water, walks and hikes. • Treadmill trained •She is crate trained and does well in the house. ••smaller animals are not recommended. We call her Happy Harper. She has a very bubbly personality and loves to do anything fun... swimming is definitely one of her strong loves. Once she knows you she loves you but not in a smushy way. She loves pets and kisses and definitely wants to be where you are. But she is not needy etc... give her something to play with or play ball etc with her and she’s happy. She is crate trained and does very well on a treadmill. A few minutes a day or a couple days a week. Harper is very pretty with beautiful gold eyes. She loves, people, car rides and adventures. She loves water. Her favorite thing is to swim with her human. The good thing about Harper, •she is intelligent and catches on quickly. •Loves to please and will work for rewards. • Very athletic and would make a great running companion. Plenty of energy to keep up. Harper is ready for her new home. The adoption fee is $200 and includes being vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. We prefer she is not placed in a household with smaller dogs and cats.
