You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Birdie is a beautiful girl with a spunky, goofy attitude!  She loves to give her people hugs, snuggle with them on the couch, and ride in the car; she is a perfect passenger.  When not taking on copilot duties, she also makes a great homework monitor for the young teens in her foster home.  Birdie has been a favorite among volunteers at previous foster dog enrichment days, with her silly zoomies and love of sun bathing.Birdie is crate and house-trained, and walks well on the leash. She is super smart and could learn all types of tricks.  She would love a household with moderate activity where she can get equal parts exercise (to keep up that girlish figure!) and also relax with her family. Birdie is dog selective, but gets along with calm, submissive dogs. A slow introduction with other dogs is an important must to make sure they get along. Greetings potential adopters! Allow me to introduce you to Chuck - a handsome Boston Terrier/Pit Bull mix. At just 1 year old and around 47lbs, Chuck has already experienced a rough start in life, but he's ready to leave that behind and start a new journey with a loving family. Chuck was surrendered by his previous owners along with his brothers. The pups had very little socialization and were dirty, underweight and scared of everything! Chuck's energetic and curious nature will surely keep you on your toes, but his goofy and affectionate side will melt away any stress you may have. He will need slow and easy introductions with all things new, people and dogs. and may do well with older children who can understand his need for space and respect his boundaries. The key to Chuck and his brother will be PATIENCE, TIME, UNDERSTANDING, OPEN MINDEDNESS ( these pups had a traumatic life prior to the shelter!), ROUTINES and LOTS AND LOTS OF LOVE! Chuck is neutered, we have microchipped and updated all vaccines including rabies. He has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention, heartworm tested (NEGATIVE) and given heartworm prevention. Beckham, our handsome and quirky 1-year-old Boston Terrier/Pit Bull mix, is waiting for his forever home. This adorable boy weighs around 45ish lbs and is full of playful energy. But life hasn't been easy for Beckham so far - he was surrendered by his previous owners along with his brothers. The pups had very little socialization and were dirty, underweight and scared of everything! Despite his rough start, Beckham is an affectionate and curious pup who just needs a little extra patience and love to come out of his shell. He may be shy with new situations and people, but once he warms up, he'll shower you with all the love and attention you could want. Beckham will need slow and easy introductions with all things new, people and dogs. He may be best suited for a home with older children who can understand and respect his shy nature. With a patient and understanding family, Beckham will surely blossom into the charming companion he's meant to be. Meet Oliver! Oliver is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 33 lbs. Our best guess for Oliver's breed mix is Boston Terrier/Pitbull (just a guess). Oliver is the most playful guy and can play with humans and dogs alike. He gets along with dogs of all sizes. Oliver is off leash trained and enjoys hiking (while carrying a stick). He loves carrying a toy or stick around whenever he has the chance. Oliver's favorite times of day are breakfast and dinner. He knows how to heel. Oliver also knows how to be calm in place or his crate. Oliver is good with other dogs and will need another playful dog in his forever home. Oliver is NOT good with cats. He is not in a foster home with children, but we feel he would do best with children 5 years and up (due to energy level). Oliver is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
