Story
Please contact Connie Kiggins (conniek@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome young man looking for his forever home! OLLY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Olly and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Nov. 17th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!     Name:       Olly            Best Guess for Breed:        Boston Terrier/Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:        5 months as of 11/7/24           SEX:        male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):     19.8 pounds as of 11/6/24   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:        Shelter. Olly needs a foster or forever home!!   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Olly is Looking For:       Hiya! I am Olly! I'm just a puppy and such a good boy. : ) I'm sitting in a shelter, but I've heard I might get to travel to the Washington DC area and live in a house!! The other puppies are talking about how great it is to live in a house, it's quieter, you have your own toys, and a FAMILY!! I'd love to have a family to take walks with, go on hikes with, take car rides with, go to the dog park and a training class!! I would love to make that trip and meet my forever family, and show them how much I love them. My needs are really rather basic: food, a bed (I can certainly share yours in a pinch hahaha I'm not really kidding I can), some toys (I promise not to use your shoes instead plus you're going to be smart and put them away ; ) ), some walks (and those are good for you too) and trips to the dog park or doggie day care (also I'm sure good for you!). And in exchange, I'll be the best boy for you and love you for the rest of my life!! What do you say, don't you need a little Olly in your life???   What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this section when Olly has arrived in the DMV and spent some time with his foster!   Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.       Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . BE A FOSTER!!!       Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org! BE A SPONSOR!!!!       Sponsors help Lucky Dog support the many dogs we save. To learn more about sponsorship, please contact       info@luckydoganimalrescue.org       .   &#226&#128&#139November 14, 2024, 7:12 pm

Story
Mixer-Boston Terrier/Terrier male, ~ 1 yr. (July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Mixer came to Rescue from a high kill big city shelter. He was on the list to lose his life to euthanasia the next day. This was happening only because the shelter is way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Mixer went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. He's about 30#, full of intelligence and life. He plays well with the other foster dogs, loves to babysit the litter of foster puppies; they are about 10 weeks old. He loves to play fetch and he loves the water. Best of all, he loves people and wants to interact with his humans. Mixer's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com . Include your location and a phone number for future communication. The first step in our process is to submit an application for review. Once approved, we will contact you to arrange a meeting at our next Meet and Greet event. Our pets are fostered in private homes and will be brought to Frederick, MD to meet approved adopters. PLEASE ALLOW 24-48 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Birdie is a beautiful girl with a spunky, goofy attitude!  She loves to give her people hugs, snuggle with them on the couch, and ride in the car; she is a perfect passenger.  When not taking on copilot duties, she also makes a great homework monitor for the young teens in her foster home.  Birdie has been a favorite among volunteers at previous foster dog enrichment days, with her silly zoomies and love of sun bathing.Birdie is crate and house-trained, and walks well on the leash. She is super smart and could learn all types of tricks.  She would love a household with moderate activity where she can get equal parts exercise (to keep up that girlish figure!) and also relax with her family. Birdie is dog selective, but gets along with calm, submissive dogs. A slow introduction with other dogs is an important must to make sure they get along. Birdie is not good with cats or small animals like squirrels or bunnies. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:31 pm

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Alvin! Alvin is about 5 years old and we think he is a Puggle. Are you looking for a sweet boy who will snuggle on the sofa for HOURS? Then Alvin is your boy! He is quite timid at first but warms up gradually. At first, he didn't have A CLUE how to walk on the leash. Now he's decided it's pretty awesome! He's a little lean right now but he has an excellent appetite, so he won't be lean for long. Alvin is really "chill" - spends a lot of time napping. He's generally quiet but might have something to say about it when I leave the house;). He's very smart/trainable, crate trained & doing very well on his house training, so far. His fur is a little sparse, at the moment, but good nutrition, fish oil & a stress free environment will resolve that issue very soon. If you're a fan of underbites (like I am!), he's super cute. Between that and his head tilt, when you ask him a question, he'll steal your heart! BONUS - he's dog & cat friendly!!! LOOK NO FURTHER! Alvin is practically perfect!!! Alvin will be neutered on November 5th, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
