Story
Please contact Connie Kiggins (conniek@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome young man looking for his forever home! OLLY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Olly and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (12/29/24) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!     Name:       Olly            Best Guess for Breed:        Boston Terrier/Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:        6 months as of 12/1/24           SEX:        male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):     29 pounds as of 12/16/24   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Olly is Looking For:       Hiya! I am Olly! I'm just a puppy and such a good boy. : ) I'd love to have a family to take walks with, go on hikes with, take car rides with, go to the dog park and a training class!! I would love to meet my forever family, and show them how much I love them. My needs are really rather basic: food, a bed (I can certainly share yours in a pinch hahaha I'm not really kidding I can), some toys (I promise not to use your shoes instead plus you're going to be smart and put them away ; ) ), some walks (and those are good for you too) and trips to the dog park or doggie day care (also I'm sure good for you!). And in exchange, I'll be the best boy for you and love you for the rest of my life!! What do you say, don't you need a little Olly in your life???   What My Foster Says About Me: Olly is such a sweet boy! He loves to cuddle with me and he loves to play with other dogs. He is very social at the dog park and is good at picking up cues from other dogs. He has a good appetite and he eats and drinks well. He is good in his crate, and he is getting more adventurous on walks. He is working hard on his house manners! He is a real sweetheart and would make a great dog for any family!! Our kids are teaching him some manners about playing with humans versus dogs too!     Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.       Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . BE A FOSTER!!!       Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org! BE A SPONSOR!!!!       Sponsors help Lucky Dog support the many dogs we save. To learn more about sponsorship, please contact       info@luckydoganimalrescue.org       .   &#226&#128&#139December 26, 2024, 3:56 pm

Apply for a DOG: http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-dogs.html Interested in saving more lives? Foster a dog today! Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Charlotte Good with dogs, & kids. NO CATS. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is a courtesy posting. Please call 410-627-6563 for information   Two things matter most to Callie: balls and cuddle time. She loves playing fetch and toys in general. Even the last, tiny shred of a toy that was once flush with stuffing. When she's finished with fetch, she wants nothing more than to cuddle up on your lap and get pets. She's very appreciative of good pets and her face will go into a Zen-like happy place. Callie is sweet and spunky. Her personality lends itself to all the nicknames in the world. Callie-mazoo, Call-ico, Callie girl, and girlfriend seems to land for her too. She gets along well with two larger male dogs and enjoys playing with them. She's lived with a toddler in her previous life. She's met the cat in her foster home and seems intrigued yet cautious. She likely would do well with a dog-savvy cat. Callie is a 3 year old, healthy, Boston Terrier with a fashionable tuxedo and a brindle coat. She has many of the typical Boston traits including a wide vocabulary and prone to be chatty. Come bedtime, Callie absolutely expects to be in bed with you. When she realizes it's bedtime, she will head there then sit waiting for you. After you're in bed, she expects you to hold up the blanket so she can get under and snuggle in for the night. She finds her own spot, and is not up in your face. It's an adorable routine. If she's not allowed to sleep with you, she will sleep in another room after fussing for a bit. She's not crate trained but is working on it. She's respectful to the house if left alone. She also loves car rides and walks. Sunshine is a must. When she meets someone new she is slightly standoffish or will bark at them but very quickly warms up and will shower a new person with kisses. She's ready to find her forever family. She's pretty flexible with what would make a good home for her. Ideally, that would be a home where she's not alone for a full work day (although she can hold it). If there is another dog, they should be playful and respectful of her size. Meaning if they are bigger than her, they don't barrel over her all the time. If there is not a fenced yard (that would be ideal), her family must be committed to daily walks. She could be the only pet or could live with other dogs, cats, and kids. Callie was surrendered because her family could not take her when they moved. We are only able to adopt to Maryland residents within 30-40 miles of Baltimore, MD. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 22, 2024, 3:23 pm

Story
Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained. She is also missing one eye, which causes her no problem. If interested in Bandit contact applications@boxertransfer.org
