Story
Hi my name is Murphy.  My foster mom Rachel added the marvelous because that is exactly what I am.  I am 2 years old and I weigh 37 lbs. Rachel first met me as a little puppy adopted by one of her friends.  My mom soon decided that she did not want me.  This began a period of bouncing around for me and unfortunately I ended up in the local shelter.  Rachel happened to be on their Facebook page and was so upset to see a familiar face.  She immediately called Critter Cavalry and I am now safe and sound with her under their care.  I am so relieved to have a familiar face to look to for guidance.  I truly am a marvelous boy.  Despite all the bouncing around I am an even keal kinda guy.  I love people and am great with the two bigger and older resident dogs.  I also love my 3 year old human foster brother.  I let him pet and hug on me and patiently accept his affection.  I am not a licky dog.  I stand or sit there and enjoy the attention.  I soak up all the human attention I can get.  I am housebroken, ride well in the car and walk well on a leash.  I am learning some commands.  My foster dad is currently working on sit.  As soon as I get that I will learn more.  I am very food motivated and love all the treats that come with training.  I am not learning too fast on purpose!!!  But I promise to give in soon.  I enjoy the one on one attention when he is teaching me things.  According to Rachel and my original mom I am a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix.  Don't see it well neither does Miss Vivienne so who knows?!  What is most important is that I am sweet, smart and will be an EXCELLENT family dog.  I am working on my crate training.  That is going a bit slowly as I am not a fan and am a bit scared in the crate.  I definitely do not like being in there when I am alone but know I need to learn.  What is important is that I am willing to learn and am a sweet boy.  If you are looking for a great family dog then you have found him.  I have been neutered, am current on all my shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and on preventative.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Murphy is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)       To be considered for Murphy's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Murphy is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)October 16, 2024, 10:05 pm

Story
Meet Oliver! Oliver is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 33 lbs. Our best guess for Oliver's breed mix is Boston Terrier/Pitbull (just a guess). Oliver enjoys daily walks and play time in the backyard. Oliver is a happy boy who enjoys doggie toys and gets the evening zoomies. Oliver is good with other dogs and will need another playful dog in his forever home. Oliver is NOT good with cats. Oliver is not in a foster home with children, but we feel he would do well with children 5 years and up. Oliver is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet our sweet 7-year-old Boston Terrier - a lovable, sweet companion who has been through a lot, but continues to spread joy wherever he goes. He’s incredibly friendly, gentle, and full of life despite his special medical needs. We are seeking a home where he can receive the extra care and attention he requires. Medical History: - He underwent cataract surgery in both eyes to restore his vision, but unfortunately, he developed a severe eye ulcer in one eye, which led to its removal. - He now has a minor corneal ulcer and detached retina in his remaining eye, and he suffers from high blood pressure, which has caused temporary blindness. His ophthalmologist is hopeful that his vision may be restored once his blood pressure is under control, but it is not guaranteed. - Right now, he is unable to see, but he can decipher light and has excellent muscle memory that helps him navigate. Story
Charlotte Good with dogs, cats, kids. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
