Story
Cookie Bear is a quirky little dog with lots of love and energy to spare. Cookie is the perfect blend of mixed breed. She is dark brindle, almost black with a pigmented tongue. She has long legs and a long whip like tail, which always lets you know when she’s happy, but can hurt if she accidentally hits you with it during a shake. She is a lanky 27 pounds and has the bark of a big dog. She’s very chatty and will howl along if you sing to her, plus she does excited barking when going outside, playing, or getting a treat.
She loves playing with (destroying) soft toys and playing fetch. She has a few chew bones and squeaky bones that she enjoys as well. Cookie is smart and loves to learn new things. She has mastered get back, sit, lay down, stay, come, speak, and quiet. She will work hard for a treat but really loves praise. When getting pets, she stomps her back legs in joy, lifting them so high and stomping so hard. (Much like Nala stomps for those who are familiar.) She is a total cuddle bug and loves to roll around on the blankets.
Cookie gets along great with cats in her foster home, but is dog reactive. She may be able to get along well with a well adjusted dog sibling after a slow introduction period, but would prefer to be the only dog. She would be fine with older children who are dog smart. She can be protective of her foster mom (her person) and has some resource guarding tendencies as well.
