Story
5 years old   Very petite.  She's adorable and very loving with people.  She loves belly rubs and toys.  She's good with most other dogs, but should be supervised initially until fully acclimated.  She has a high prey drive for cats, chickens or small animals.  She is a jumper and can clear a 3 ft fence and will run if given the opportunity.  Due to her prey drive and running, she requires a home with at least a 4 ft securely fenced in yard to keep her safe.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 2, 2024, 9:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!My name is Taylor.  I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years.  I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected.  I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!!  Here at the ranch I do not have to wear a diaper because they mop and steam floors several times a day but I drip and they don't make me feel bad about it :)I may spend my life here but if I do I will be loved and accepted even though I can't hold my bladder :) I love to give kisses and recieve pets!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!June 30, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
"Looking for someone to be the new love of your life? Look no further! I am your girl! I like laps and snuggling, and sitting on the porch watching the birds and squirrels. I am a calm lady, not a rowdy puppy. I am about 4-5 years old. When I came to the rescue I had a badly damaged eye from being attacked by another dog. I am now wary of other dogs and I take a long time to warm up to them. I could live with another dog if it is a calm companion who will not pester me. I am not reactive or aggressive, but I do avoid new dogs until I see that they know how to be polite. I have made good friends with other dogs in my foster home, it just took a little bit of time to warm up. My eye needed to be removed to relieve the pain it caused me. I am feeling so much better now! I am a gentle and sweet dog who likes all people. I am very tolerant and love to be held. I let my foster mom bathe me, brush me, and trim my nails - what lady doesn't love a good spa day? My foster mom says I am a really good girl." Indigo is sweet and affectionate, and craves attention. She was surrendered to the rescue by a commercial breeder. She is a very good natured dog. She has met men, women, and children and was politely happy to greet all of them. Indigo definitely wants to be a lap dog, so someone who enjoys quality couch cuddle time is on this girl's Must Have list. She is learning to play with toys, but still isn't sure what she is supposed to do with them. Indigo walks well on a leash. She is used to a fenced yard, but could adapt to leash walking for potty breaks. While Indigo is does not have accidents in her foster home, she is still newly house broken and her adoptive family should expect to continue teaching her to go potty outside. Accidents in the house are common in dogs who have just been adopted. Indigo is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. She is being fostered in southern Lancaster county PA and prospective families must be willing to come to her foster home twice. Once to meet her with all members of the family, including resident dogs, and once more to take her home. Ready to meet Indigo? Go online to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application! We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder. Story
Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained. She is also missing one eye, which causes her no problem. If interested in Bandit contact applications@boxertransfer.org
