Meet Jade Meet Jade!! She is a happy-go-lucky 20 lb tripod who loves life! This sweet girl is around 3 years old and loves everyone she meets. Having 3 legs and a traumatic past life is a part of her story, but she doesn't let anything stop her. Jade has adjusted wonderfully to only having 3 legs. She can still jump, run, and play with ease like any other energetic dog. Jade bonds quickly and is so excited to greet you when you get home she can barely contain herself! She wags her tail like crazy and gives you all the kisses, it's the cutest thing. Dogs, cats, and kids are all her best friends immediately. She came to rescue skinny and underweight but has continued to gain weight consistently since she has been with us. This girl loves to go for walks and be anywhere her people are. "Hey there, I'm Chevy. I'm a 4.5 year old male Boston Terrier. I've had a rough start, to put it kindly. I am looking for a person who will take things nice and slow for me, and take time to build a bond. My foster dad spends a lot of time with me, loving on me and teaching me that people can be kind. I love CHEESE! It's my favorite thing. I'll do pretty much anything for it. I am slowly coming out of my shell, but I'm not quite there yet. I am afraid of a lot of things. I had never been in a house prior to coming to my foster home, so it is all new to me. I will cower away from new people, and I take time to learn to trust, but once I do, I will be your little shadow. I love to chew on toys! I am learning the difference between what is and what isn't a toy - before my foster home, the only thing I had to play with was my food dish. I still like to chew on my dish, so my foster family picks it up when I'm done eating. When I came to my foster home I had very broken and damaged teeth from chewing on the bars of the cage I used to live in. Zoe's House Rescue made sure I got dental work done to remove my broken teeth. I also had my stenotic nares corrected at the same time. I can breathe much better now! I am neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and have been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. I am also crate trained. I have been learning about potty training, but I forget sometimes. A belly band will be useful during my transition to my new home. I do go potty every time I am taken outside, and I never go poop in the house. Frequent potty breaks help me remember where I am supposed to pee. Even though I am a shy guy, I am hopeful that someone will give me a chance to show what a gentleman I can be. It will take some patience and a lotta love, but we will get there!" Chevy is a scared dog who will need an experienced 'dog person' who can help him learn to be his best self. He is a very gentle dog who will pancake to the ground when someone new tries to touch him. He does not become aggressive, but will try to get away from scary situations. For this reason, we are requiring a securely fenced yard for him. Chevy is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to his foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take him home. Ella was returned to our care after her adopters suffered a medical emergency leaving them unable to care for Ella (fka Maw) and Miles (fka Paw). When they arrived back into our care, we believed them to be bonded but have quickly learned they will actually do better separated. We are seeking a foster, foster to adopt or adopter for this adorable sweetheart. Ella loves to play with toys: benebones and nylabones but especially tug of war. She loves attention and will shower her person with loads of kisses. She is the perfect combination of sweet and playful. At times she can be strong willed but she is a pretty good listener and will be able to adapt to new or continued training. Ella loves gentle affection, soft scratches, soft words, sitting in sun, walks, sniffing and running. She enjoys climbing under cozy blankets on the couch or in her bed to nap. Ella will thrive in a home with exercise/healthy stimulation. She walks well on leash, sometimes needing a slight leash jiggle and a few whistles to redirect her during a leashed walk. She does have a high prey drive - so squirrels and bunnies beware! Some of Ella’s favorite treats are canned pure pumpkin, plain nonfat Greek/probiotic yogurt, greenie dental chews, hardboiled egg whites, pnut butter. Girl’s got good taste! Ella is housetrained but not used to being crated. We had rescued Spencer in 2017 from a shelter in NJ. He’s estimated to be around 10 yrs old and is a neutered male. He was just at the vet recently to get his exam and updated rabies vaccine and is in good health. He hasn’t been getting along with our other young and energetic dogs (snippy with them), but may very well get along just fine with another dog similar in age with a laid back personality. He’ll thrive in an environment where someone can give him the attention that he deserves. Other than not getting along with my other dogs, he’s extremely sweet and calm towards people and once comfortable, will express the cutest barks trying to initiate play. He also likes slow casual walks. He’ll curl up with you for a snooze when the day winds down and loves to nap on blankets. Not sure how he is with cats as he’s never been around them. Must have Boston Terrier experience. I want to ensure that he finds the most appropriate home and will be looking at all applications. Thank you.
