You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!My name is Taylor.  I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years.  I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected.  I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!!  Here at the ranch I do not have to wear a diaper because they mop and steam floors several times a day but I drip and they don't make me feel bad about it :)I may spend my life here but if I do I will be loved and accepted even though I can't hold my bladder :) I love to give kisses and recieve pets!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!October 14, 2024, 6:08 pm

Story
5 years old   Very petite.  She's adorable and very loving with people.  She loves belly rubs and toys.  She's good with most other dogs, but should be supervised initially until fully acclimated.  She has a high prey drive for cats, chickens or small animals.  She is a jumper and can clear a 3 ft fence and will run if given the opportunity.  Due to her prey drive and running, she requires a home with at least a 4 ft securely fenced in yard to keep her safe.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Story
Hey everyone! I’m “Politics”! Yeah, really. I’m a 3 year old Boston Terrier surrendered by a breeder to Molly’s Play with my name and “other parts” intact! Why named Politics? I’ve gotten it from a reliable source, the breeder said I was “Lazy and not doing my job”! Can you believe that? Hmmmmmm. My foster mom said that’s a good thing and lucky for me cause it was my “ticket” outta there! We Bostonians are proud pups, and I’m no exception. Just look at my compact little body with my stylish “tuxedo’ coat of black and white and eyes that look with curiosity and kindness.  Though slow and shy from little socialization, I’ve improving greatly with meeting new people and experiences. I do great going out into and coming back in from a fenced in yard for potty and play, but still have some learning ta do. This explains my “attire”! Yes, I’m sporting a male doggie wrap while indoors during training. Being I’m now fixed, my leg lifting should soon be a thing of the past! Yep, I’m getting the hang of being indoors with family and other furry friends for other reasons than “hooking up”! I do love playing with other dogs. Have even been introduced to toys. Life has been so great since “voted out” of my past job and getting ready to take on the “World” that has been open up to me in foster care. So “Bring it on! I want my life to be filled with new adventures, challenges, love, snuggling and just making up for lost time! I’m “Politician”, a little pup with a BIG Heart and love to give. My next “Term in Office” will be my best and FOR LIFE! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Story
We got Luna right before we got married. She will be 7 in April. She is a sweet dog and we have loved her! We just had baby #4 October 2024. We can’t dedicate the time she deserves. She’s house trained and LOVES kids! We had a stray cat show up at our house and she did chase it. She does great with other dogs! We want the best for her and know in this season of life we can’t dedicate the time and attention she needs.

Story
Hey! My name is Anya! I am a 6 year old Boston Terrier lady. I am a fun loving cuddle bug. I love to play with my dog friends and I get along with everyone! I am good with dog savvy cats, but a little bit bossy with timid cats. I walk nicely on a leash and I am a very happy girl! I am very bouncy and playful. When I came to the rescue, I was very nervous. I had spent my whole life on a farm, having puppies. I didn't know how to play with toys or how to walk on a leash. I'm a smart cookie though so I had it all figured out in no time. I am a good girl who loves all people, but I am still learning not to jump up. I am the definition of velcro dog. I will follow you everywhere you go and my preference is to sleep pressed up against you. I am on a weight loss journey. I tipped the scales at almost 35lbs when I was rescued. A healthy weight for me would be around 25-28lbs. I'm almost there! I love walks so exercise is no hardship to me. I am SUPER food motivated. I am learning in my foster home what 'manners' are, and that not all food is for me - it's a real bummer. If you think I sound like a fun forever friend, I would love to meet you! Please note, I am a wanderer when I'm outside, so I will need a fenced yard or to always be kept on leash. Anya is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to her foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take her home. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for heartworm. She is routinely treated with parasite preventatives. Go online to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application! We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder. Story
Age: 10 months Size: 35 lbs Estimated breed: Boston Terrier/Cattle Dog mix (among many other breeds, according to her DNA results!) Perfect home: Active home, no kids under 12, no cats/small animals   Lucy is an 10-month old Boston terrier mix, whose personality far outweighs her size. She came to live with us when she was just a few weeks old after being rescued in Texas. In the time Lucy has been with us, we have watched her grow into herself. And what a character she has become!    Lucy lives with two other canine friends and a cat. Her and the cat have a mutual understanding. They are not exactly friends, but they respect each other's privacy (for the most part). As far as her canine siblings, Lucy has a strong bond with our Bernese Mountain mix (Sammy).    Sammy and Lucy have been friends since the start. It's quite the combination with Lucy being all of maybe 30 lbs to Sammy's 90 lbs. Rough play is the order of the day, with Lucy regularly ending up airborne after Sammy decides he's had enough and tosses her out of the way. Lucy, not one to give up easily, comes back for more and more. This cycle continues until Lucy tires out and heads to her crate or the couch to rest.   Speaking of crates, Lucy is crate trained and does very will with in. In fact, she usually goes in on her own when she wants alone time, or when we get ready to wind down our evening. Lucy is also excellent with being house broken and accidents are few if any in recent months.   Lucy is very independent and thinks she's a BIG dog. She is a bit headstrong with leash training, and also has a very active prey drive. If Lucy sees a squirrel or other small critter, she gets pretty excited and it is tough to break her focus.    Lucy would do best in a home with another large canine companion and a fenced yard. She loves her big brother Sammy and often cuddles with him when they tire out after their backyard wrestling matches. She looks to him constantly for entertainment, reducing some of the burden on us.   We are proud of the young lady Lucy has become. If you are looking for a smaller dog with the heart of a big dog and have the time to work with her, Lucy would love to meet you!   To adopt Lucy, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our animals. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366 February 20, 2025, 10:33 am
