Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years. I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected. I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!! This funny girl was found in the median of the highway one morning on the way to Transport. She was running up and down the road like many dogs We see here that have been abandoned. I have searched all over for her family because I know she had one at one time. I have had no luck. Monkey is a very funny very sweet, friendly girl. She is probably a year old and maybe has some French bulldog. She is confident and loves to go for walks and rides. She loves everyone she meets and would love to be back in a home. She has a high prey drive for cats, chickens or small animals. She is a jumper and can clear a 3 ft fence and will run if given the opportunity. "Hey there, I'm Chevy. I'm a 4.5 year old male Boston Terrier. I've had a rough start, to put it kindly. I am looking for a person who will take things nice and slow for me, and take time to build a bond. My foster dad spends a lot of time with me, loving on me and teaching me that people can be kind. I love CHEESE! It's my favorite thing. I'll do pretty much anything for it. I am slowly coming out of my shell, but I'm not quite there yet. I am afraid of a lot of things. I had never been in a house prior to coming to my foster home, so it is all new to me. I will cower away from new people, and I take time to learn to trust, but once I do, I will be your little shadow. I love to chew on toys! I am learning the difference between what is and what isn't a toy - before my foster home, the only thing I had to play with was my food dish. I still like to chew on my dish, so my foster family picks it up when I'm done eating. When I came to my foster home I had very broken and damaged teeth from chewing on the bars of the cage I used to live in. Zoe's House Rescue made sure I got dental work done to remove my broken teeth. I also had my stenotic nares corrected at the same time. I can breathe much better now! I am neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and have been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. I am also crate trained. I have been learning about potty training, but I forget sometimes. A belly band will be useful during my transition to my new home. I do go potty every time I am taken outside, and I never go poop in the house. Frequent potty breaks help me remember where I am supposed to pee. Even though I am a shy guy, I am hopeful that someone will give me a chance to show what a gentleman I can be. It will take some patience and a lotta love, but we will get there!" Chevy is a scared dog who will need an experienced 'dog person' who can help him learn to be his best self. He is a very gentle dog who will pancake to the ground when someone new tries to touch him. He does not become aggressive, but will try to get away from scary situations. For this reason, we are requiring a securely fenced yard for him. Chevy is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to his foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take him home. Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained. Nash came into our live in 2020 at only 8wks old. We found him on Craigslist. A young teen who bought him was unable to care for him and needed to rehome him. Nash is an amazing dog. He is very sweet, loving and full of energy. He loves to play fetch, take walks, play more fetch and cuddle. He loves cuddling up with us on the couch and at night in bed. He is obidient and listens well. I would love for him to go to a family who has the time, energy and most importantly love to continue caring for him as we do. We recently had a baby and while they both love each other we just don’t have the time to give him our all. He needs someone or a family who can give him all the time and attention he deserves.

I'm here with my sissy Ava. We came from down south and now mom says we are northern implants not sure what that means but ok I'm learning new stuff every day. We have lots of friends here at the ranch. We have doxi friends that are a little older than us and mom says to not bark like they do its 'annoying' I'm not sure why she thinks that but I tried it and I thought it was rather fun so we do it when moms not in the room but somehow she always knows and she comes out of her office and gives us 'the look' hmmmm I wonder how she knows??!!!Ava is my bestest friend and we would LOVE to stick together. Mom says she will find us a furever home with a fenced yard so we can run and play like we do here! We aren't 'fixed' yet so mom says as soon as we are old enough to have that done we will be ready for our new home. I didn't know we was broken but I guess I just gotta trust the lady.... My name is Ava and I am a "northern transplant". Me and my brother took a long ride and ended up at this place they call the ranch. We have lots of friends to play with and these things called humans who always want to pick us up and smooch on us!!! We let them and then we wiggle to get down and go play! They are sort of "sissies" Alvin says because when we try to nibble on them they act like we were trying to hurt them. Alvin says maybe we should just nibble on the bones on the floor and leave the humans fingers alone since they obviously can't handle our nibbles. They apparently like to be licked so we do that just to make them happy since they seem to be the food dispensers... We have sat down with the staff and told them we would like a fenced yard when we are adopted :) 2nd Chance has promised we will not go to a one dog household we want another small dog to play with if we can't stay together!
