Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size. He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence. Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered. Housetrained: YES Prefers a household without Children, other dogs, cats. Sweet Miles is a superb companion and snuggle buddy. He's shy at first, but not too shy to ask for a back rub or a treat.He'll show you his belly and ask you to confirm it's still soft (it is!) He also loves chest and bum scratches, and in time, head scratches. Miles prefers soft words and needs a calm environment, consistency and positive reinforcement. As his confidence grows in his new home, he'll readily wag his tail when you laugh or smile and say sweet things to him. He'll also ask you to play tug with him when the time is right. Miles is housetrained but not used to being crated. He is good boy and will be able to adapt to new or continued training. Some of his favorite snacks are frozen pure pumpkin Kongs, sweet potatoes, petite greenie dental chews, frozen nonfat plain Greek or probiotic yogurt, peanut butter, hard boiled egg whites and chicken chicken chicken. For enrichment/stimulation, he likes (beginner) puzzle feeders and snuffling! Miles loves sitting in the sun, sniffing the world, running errands and car rides with a few treats and a cozy bed in the back seat. He walks well on leash, sometimes needing a slight leash jiggle and a few whistles or clicks to redirect him during leashed walks. He does have a high prey drive, so squirrels and chipmunks take heed! Back at home, he'll help with the laundry and dishes before snuggling under blankets at your side, and napping; occasionally letting out little snores. Ella was returned to our care after her adopters suffered a medical emergency leaving them unable to care for Ella (fka Maw) and Miles (fka Paw). When they arrived back into our care, we believed them to be bonded but have quickly learned they will actually do better separated. We are seeking a foster, foster to adopt or adopter for this adorable sweetheart. Ella loves to play with toys: benebones and nylabones but especially tug of war. She loves attention and will shower her person with loads of kisses. She is the perfect combination of sweet and playful. At times she can be strong willed but she is a pretty good listener and will be able to adapt to new or continued training. Ella loves gentle affection, soft scratches, soft words, sitting in sun, walks, sniffing and running. She enjoys climbing under cozy blankets on the couch or in her bed to nap. Ella will thrive in a home with exercise/healthy stimulation. She walks well on leash, sometimes needing a slight leash jiggle and a few whistles to redirect her during a leashed walk. Meet MJ! He is a 9yr old beagle/terrier mix. He was found as a stray in KY and ended up in a kill shelter...until we rescued him. He seems to get along with every other dog we have (incl puppies of all ages). He walks well on a leash once he gets over the excitement of being out with you. At only about 40 lbs, he is the perfect sized companion dog. MJ is very smart too and learned to sit for a treat & give his paw within 5mins. His aim is to please :) We find that he doesn't like to be without people in general but that's not to say that he likes all people and is definately picky about who he trusts. The ideal home would have someone around rather than leaving him for the workday and would have some dog training knowledge about how to handle a fear aggressive dog. We can no longer bring him to adoption events since many in the general public do not know how to read a dog's body language (he does give signs when he's uncomfortable). We would recommend a low-traffic household for sure because of the potential fear aggressive bite and someone with experience in dealing with this behavior. Our adoption fee is $325 and all of our pets come with full vet records. All animals are up to date on vaccinations & dewormed. Unless otherwise indicated, puppies are NOT spayed or neutered since our vet recommends waiting until 6mos of age to do so. Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. NOTE: If you are seeing this posting, she's still available :) Meet Trixie! We were told she was born on 1/11/22. Her mom looked to be a boston terrier mix. Trix is tipping the scales at 25lbs and is lean because she's always on the go given her age. Trixie is a very sweet girl, who just needs some basic training. Her fosterhome has a fenced yard and since she has had minimal leash training, that works best at the moment. She needs routine & some manners to be the perfect family pet. Trix is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and was tested for HW and tick borne diseases - all were neg. She has the shiniest sleek black coat we've ever seen on a pup before! She's very treat motivated and when it comes to taking commands, she's all ears LOL Her friends are a group of adult dogs as well as a couple of young shepherd mixes that are double her size also with us. Trixie's favorite game is fetch & she actually brings the ball back to you! Recent small breed experience is a must since they're just not for everyone & definitely not for the 1st time dog owner. This girl would NOT do well in a city environment, so we're seeking a more rural home since that's all she knows. This beautiful girl came to us when her owner moved to Tennessee and was unable to find a place to live that allowed pets. Both Opal and her owner were heartbroken. Opal is a one and a half year old purebred white and fawn French bulldog. She weighs 22 pounds and she is now spayed, up-to-date on required vaccines, heartworm tested negative and micro chipped. She is a healthy little girl looking for her forever home. She is house trained, and she gets along ok with other dogs, but definitely wants to be the center of attention so she would do well with another laid-back dog or as an only dog. Renee is a unique little dog that makes people tilt their heads and smile when they see her. Her crooked little underbite smile just leaves you giggling. Its crazy to think she can even eat properly but she can. This Puggle is mixed with Brussel Griffon and Pug and boy is she a sweetheart. She is a tiny, petite thing who weighs10 lbs and is the perfect lap companion. At just 4 years of age, Renee was owned by an elderly person who lost everything in the recent east coast hurricane tragedies in the month of October. So many animals were displaced during that time and we were happy to give little Renee a chance to find a new home. Her elderly mom never walked her much because she was a disabled senior and therefore Renee isn't the best on a leash at the moment. One thing she has mastered and that is being a snuggler and your best bed buddy. Rene gets along well with other dogs, she's fine with cats and in general a very easy-going girl to have around. Little Rene loves car rides and has a great desire to be a social butterfly and go places with a new owner.
