Meet SKYWALKER, a goofy, chunky Boston Terrier mix looking for a home. Skywalker is a bouncy boy who loves to do zoomies in the yard and jumps for joy whenever he sees a friend. Skywalker has a beautiful dark brindle coat and a bobtail. He's around 2 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. Skywalker is a bit of a chick magnet and does seem to prefer women. This guy is best suited to life in a quiet home with his trusted people. Skywalker needs room to run and is best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard suitable for zoomies. If you'd like to meet Skywalker, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet for an approved adopter. You can meet Skywalker at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. We discovered this sweet old pup early in the morning at 6:00, happily curled up by our front door. He was in need of a bath, with long nails and no collar or microchip. Unfortunately, he has heartworm and Lyme disease, but despite this, he’s such a gentle soul. He might be a bit confused about his new surroundings, but his sweetness shines through!

Charlotte Good with dogs, & kids. NO CATS. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!
