Hi, I'm Bumblebee and sweet as honey! I'm the "queen bee" in my litter bee-cause I need ALL the attention! My bee-autiful markings make me "the bees knees"! My momma is a small Boston Terrier mix but daddy was a bigger boy, like maybe a Bull Terrier, a Bulldog or something? I'm not really sure because I never met my dad. I'm 10 weeks old and at 11 pounds, already half the size of my momma! I probably will bee 50 pounds or so when I'm all grown up. I'm crate trained and I sleep in my crate all night! zzzzz I am working on house training and some basic obedience. I'm doing pretty good for just being a ba-bee! I love cheese, peanutbutter, naps, playing with toys and cuddling in people's laps. I'm a busy, busy Bee looking for my own Beehive! Buzz on over and fill out an adoption application with the Adopt A Pit Beekeepers bee-fore you miss out on my Bee-autiful face! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. Mr. Barkston is looking for a patient adopter who will let him finally find a place to call his own. This kiddo was pending euthanization at the Franklin County Dog Shelter due to kennel stress and isn't having a whole lot of luck since he's been out with finding a loving family. An absolute great dog that fits in multiple environments because of just how flexible he is with the friends he makes. Mr. Barkston has made just about everyone go "awe" with his handsome looks and cute little Boston Terrier eyes. However, his greatness doesn't stop there as he is housebroken, crate trained and does really well on the leash. He also gets along with dogs, cats and children (older recommended). This dog loves running for about 5 minutes before splooting - anywhere. He'll just throw those little legs out and plop down. Beauty and the Beasts Animal Wellness and Massage visited Barkston to give him a much needed massage after spraining his neck at the shelter awhile back and he absolutely loved it! Or, it was the peanut butter. Either way, he was feeling much better afterwards. His only down side is he can become overstimulated and get a little nibbly. With extra toys or with an equally crazy companion, those behaviors go out the window. If you're looking for a goofy companion and don't mind further working with him on his nibbling behaviors - look no further because he checks all the boxes! MR. Meet SKYWALKER, a goofy, chunky Boston Terrier mix looking for a home. Skywalker is a bouncy boy who loves to do zoomies in the yard and jumps for joy whenever he sees a friend. Skywalker has a beautiful dark brindle coat and a bobtail. He's around 2 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. Skywalker is a bit of a chick magnet and does seem to prefer women. This guy is best suited to life in a quiet home with his trusted people. Skywalker needs room to run and is best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard suitable for zoomies. You can meet Skywalker at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period.
