Story
✨ Meet Ginger — a tiny puppy with a big heart and an even bigger future. ✨   This 3-month-old Boston Terrier mix weighs about 10 pounds and is already stealing attention everywhere she goes. With her scruffy little cheeks and bright, curious eyes, Ginger has that “you can’t help but fall in love” kind of cuteness.   Ginger is your classic happy puppy — playful, energetic, and always ready for fun. She loves running around with toys, exploring her surroundings, and enjoying the company of other dogs. She has a naturally friendly personality and seems to adore just about everyone she meets.   Once she’s done playing, Ginger turns into a total cuddle bug. She loves being held, petted, and close to her people. She’s the kind of puppy who wants to be right where the love is.   She is currently learning pad training and is doing her best, though she still has the occasional accident as she continues to learn. Like all young puppies, she just needs consistency, patience, and guidance.   Her parents are a Boston Terrier mix and a Wheaten Terrier, both around 30 pounds, so she is expected to remain a small-to-medium sized companion.   Because she is still so young, Ginger needs a home where someone is around most of the time to help her grow, train, and feel secure. A fenced yard would be a big bonus so she can safely burn off puppy energy. Children 8+ would be a great match for her gentle, playful nature.   Ginger isn’t just adorable — she’s the beginning of a lifelong best friend.   If you’ve been waiting for a puppy to grow up beside you, love you unconditionally, and fill your home with joy… Ginger is ready to meet you.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 18, 2026, 5:20 pm

Story
Meet Gidget — a tiny girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart.  At just 3 months old and only 9 pounds, this little Boston Terrier mix is as adorable as they come. With her short, stubby legs and stunning brindle coat, Gidget has that irresistible “stop-you-in-your-tracks” kind of cuteness — and once you see her face, you won’t forget it. Gidget is everything you’d hope for in a puppy. She’s playful, curious, and full of joyful energy, always ready to chase a toy or bounce around with her doggy friends. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would absolutely love a playful companion to grow up with.  But she’s not all zoomies — Gidget has a soft, snuggly side too. She loves to curl up close, soaking in all the affection she can get. She may be just a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a short moment and you’ll see her sweet, loving personality shine through. She’s currently working on pad training and, like any young puppy, she’s still learning. She’s trying hard and making progress every day — she just needs a patient home willing to guide her as she grows. Because she’s still so young, Gidget will thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help her learn, play, and feel secure. A fenced yard would be a dream come true for her, giving her space to safely explore and burn off that puppy energy. She would do best in a home with kids 8 and older who understand how to be gentle with a small pup. Gidget isn’t just cute — she’s the kind of companion who will grow into your little shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your daily source of happiness. If you’ve been waiting for that one special puppy who will steal your heart and never give it back… Gidget might be the one.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Ayla is looking for her furever home! Ayla is a sweet, silly and playful approximately 6-year-old Boston Terrier / Old English Bulldog mix. This sturdy girl is about 40 lbs. She is very shy at first at first meeting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she warms up to you, she loves to get pets and scratches. Ayla loves chew toys (you'll need the "super chewer" variety) and enjoys a good game of fetch. She is a love bug that is eager for love and affection. She loves kids, though she can be a bit jumpy when excited and older kids would be best. Ayla likes other dogs, but needs a friend that is submissive, allowing her to be the dominant one. She is house trained and crate trained, though she'd much prefer the floor or couch. She has a cherry eye that may need surgery, which the rescue will pay for. Ayla is located in Boiling Springs, SC. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Miss Bella is looking for her furever home This beautiful, 6-year-old, 19-pound BT has a rough history. She ended up in a shelter and in a foster home with dogs she didn’t get along with, and she appears to have been mistreated by humans . Since coming to BTBR, she’s been hanging out with her foster mom and learning that people aren’t always scary, but she can still be very fearful. Because of Miss Bella’s past, she needs a quiet, adult-only home, with no other pets and a fenced yard. Though she will not be the neighborhood social butterfly, she would love to be your world. She loves snuggles on the couch, chewing on toys, and sunbathing. She is house trained, spayed, and up to date on all vetting. Miss Bella is currently in Aiken, SC. Can you find it in your heart to open your home to her? MEET LITTLE EARS!STATS: 1.5 years old, neutered, Boston Terrier Mix, 42 lbsAFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: I am the chillest guy in town! Everything I do, I do at my own pace, which tends to be a little slower. Honestly, all I really need is a comfy bed and someone to sit with me! I get so excited when you get down to my level - I usually just roll over and give you my belly! The shelter staff cannot stress this enough: I am a CAVITY INDUCING level of sweet! My calm aura is enough to qualify me as a certified therapist. WHAT I LOVE: Beds... Blankets... Laps... Anything I can lay on and snuggle up to you! I have such an even and calm personality and would love to share my calming vibes with someone!KIDS: While I haven’t been formally tested with kids at the shelter, the staff thinks I would prefer a quiet home, so older kids might be best for me! I have never shown anything but love to everyone, but I can be a little nervous when things are super loud!OTHER DOGS: While I have lived with other dogs and have tested perfectly fine with them, I prefer dogs that don`t pay me much attention. I can coexist perfectly with another chill and laid back canine companion!CATS: I haven`t shown any negative reaction to cats at the shelter, and they run right past my kennel every day!HIS MATCH: I would be the perfect match for someone who is just as calm, cool, collected, and lazy as me! I don`t have much interest in playing for long hours outside or going on excruciatingly long walks - I go do my business outside and want to come right back in! I really just need a cuddle buddy!SPECIAL NOTE: I have such big beautiful eyes and my bottom lip juts out - so essentially I have the MOST kissable face!Complete an online application and get pre-approved to adopt at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/PetAdoptionSurvey. Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in.Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
