Meet Brody – A Quirky, Energetic Love Bug with a Big Personality Quick Facts: Breed: Boston Terrier Age: 7 years Weight: 13 lbs House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Not required Good with Dogs: Yes but with slow and proper introductions Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: Yes Energy Level: Medium to High Fence Required: Yes – or long daily walks Special Traits: Very food motivated, loves car rides, lap companion, dominant play style Why You’ll Love Brody: Affectionate love bug who always wants to be near his people Great with kids and enjoys being part of the family Loves car rides and adventure time Excellent sleeper who happily shares the bed Equal parts energetic playmate and devoted cuddle buddy About Brody’s Breed: Boston Terriers are known for their lively personalities, intelligence, and affectionate nature. They often balance playful bursts of energy with deep devotion to their families. With proper exercise and engagement, they make wonderful companions who thrive on both activity and closeness — and Brody is no exception. Brody’s Story & Personality: Brody is full of quirky charm and loving energy. He gets fun little pockets of high energy and will absolutely need regular exercise to keep him happy and balanced. A securely fenced yard or an adopter committed to long daily walks is important for him. He walks well on a leash and truly enjoys getting out and exploring. He has a dominant play style and does well with dogs, but he will thrive with structure and plenty of outlets for his energy. While experience with the Boston Terrier breed is helpful, it is not required — just an understanding that he’s an active boy who needs both mental and physical stimulation. Brody is extremely food motivated (which makes training fun!) and absolutely adores his people. Whether he’s curled up on your lap while you work, resting at your feet, or snuggled in bed at night, he wants to be touching or near you whenever possible. He loves car rides, sleeps wonderfully through the night, and truly shines as a companion dog. Brody’s Ideal Home: A securely fenced yard or commitment to long daily walks An active household that can provide plenty of exercise A family comfortable with a dominant play style Someone who enjoys a dog that wants constant closeness A home ready for both energetic bursts and cozy lap time Ready for a Loyal Sidekick with a Fun Streak? Brody brings the perfect mix of spunky energy and devoted affection. If you’re looking for a playful, quirky companion who will happily join you for walks and then curl up by your side, Brody is ready to meet you. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We assist with coordinating transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!  March 10, 2026, 9:11 pm

Story
Lulu is a sensitive and playful 5-year-old kid lady. This girl serves big dog energy in a pocket-sized 23 pounds. Lulu can be slow to warm to new people but was obsessed with her foster family within a couple days of being out of the shelter. She gets along well with most dogs with appropriate intros - she lives, chills and parties with two playful senior dogs who are larger than her. Lulu loves toys— no, she is OBSESSED with toys. She will disembowel them if they aren’t the kind for tough chewers, but she has so much fun doing it that you really can’t blame her. She has tried to pick up a few non-toys in her mouth but she is quick to listen to redirection. This girl also loves hugs and prolonged eye contact so we’re hoping she finds a family who is down to cuddle.

Story
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided in the description below.Roxie is a sweet girl who needs a new home. She arrived at the owner's father's house as a stray over a year ago, and when the neighbors called animal control, he stepped in to take her. However, since then, the owner's mom has passed, and her dad's health is making it difficult to maintain a house/yard; he is planning to move into a retirement community. Unfortunately, Roxie isn't allowed to go with him. It breaks his heart, but he has to move for many reasons. We are looking for a loving home for her. She is around 65 lbs, has been spayed, vaccinated, and is very trainable. She has a lot of energy, but she's eager to learn and please. She is comfortable with a yard with a fence or snuggling on the couch. She is housetrained. We had a trainer evaluate her, and he said she would be best in a home with a fence (since she needs lots of exercise) and no small children (not due to aggression but to overstimulation and the need to be gradually socialized). We are willing to travel to meet or deliver her to the perfect home!If you are interested in Roxie, please email erofamily@yahoo.com
