The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Meet Ms. Velma! Found as a stray, the shelter she came from predicted she was a young adult terrier mix pup, but we've determined that it's actually more likely that she is around 2-3 years old. We may never know for sure! Due to her staining on her legs/belly and the way her back hips developed it seems like she may have been kept in a confined space for prolonged periods of time, but functionally, her legs developed properly! We are so happy she landed in Hope's care so we can find the perfect family to ensure she lives a long and loving life! Since entering her foster home, we've learned that Velma lovessss to eat and will often do an excited awoooooo when you're taking too long to prepare her meal. She lets you know when she is excited about something! Velma is doing great in the crate at night and while her foster mom is at work. Velma has done fantastic with meeting other dogs and is a peaceful co-exister with her foster brother, but is starting to initiate play with him. So far, shes relied on her foster brother Wally to give her confidence to go on neighborhood walks and she's starting to enjoy exploring outside! We are working on building her confidence when visiting new places in public (she's a nervous girly). When she gets overly excited and playful inside, she can be a bit mouthy like a typical puppy, just something to keep in mind when finding the right fit for a family for her! Medically, The vet did determine that Velma has a small heart arrhythmia, or low-grade heart murmur, but this is not something that will impact her day-to-day life! She's able to exercise and zoom around regularly, but her future family may want to consider just keeping this in mind as she gets older to get rechecked! Heart murmurs can sometimes resolve themselves as dogs get proper nutrition if they were previously malnourished, but it could also be something she has for life! Doesn't slow her down one bit! He is 19 pounds, up to date on vetting including neuter, and very sweet, but he is very timid and scared! He is looking for someone patient, with a big heart, to give him a chance at a happy forever! Teddy loves other dogs and is learning that humans can be trusted. He has shown no aggression, only being very timid! The ideal home will have another dog or two for his confidence and a fenced yard. Once trust is earned, Teddy can practice with a leash and take some walks. The adoption fee for Teddy will be greatly reduced for the right fit. We just want to give him the best chance! Ayla is a sweet, silly and playful approximately 6-year-old Boston Terrier / Old English Bulldog mix. This sturdy girl is about 40 lbs. She is very shy at first at first meeting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she warms up to you, she loves to get pets and scratches. Ayla loves chew toys (you'll need the "super chewer" variety) and enjoys a good game of fetch. She is a love bug that is eager for love and affection. She loves kids, though she can be a bit jumpy when excited and older kids would be best. Ayla likes other dogs, but needs a friend that is submissive, allowing her to be the dominant one. She is house trained and crate trained, though she'd much prefer the floor or couch. She has a cherry eye that may need surgery, which the rescue will pay for. Ayla is located in Boiling Springs, SC. He is friendly, playful, house trained, and crate trained. Toby is deaf, but it doesn't slow him down. He enjoys walks, belly rubs, and playing with stuffies! His foster mom has been working with him to learn some basic hand signals. Toby still has puppy energy and would enjoy having another dog who he can rough house with.
