Story
World meet Franklin, aka Frankie and his ears! Frankie was found as a stray and waited out his stray hold at Animal Control before we were able to scoop him up and bring him to his foster home. We believe Frankie is an 11lb Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix around 5-6yrs old. Favorite activities so far include giving face kisses, burrowing under blankets, chasing his tail, snuggling on laps, and FOOD. He’s definitely been a house dog before. Don’t let his age fool you, he’s got plenty of pep in his step and spunk! Frankie was just neutered last week and is in the process of getting up to date on all his shots. We’re working on potty training. Since he wasn’t neutered he’s prone to mark, but we’ll hopefully be able to kick that soon but for now he tolerates wraps. He sleeps soundly in the crate at night and gets along great with other dogs (big or small). We’d love to find him a home that has experience with little dogs with big personalities and are willing to work through his quirks. Little man can jump and can be mouthy so we don’t recommend a house with young kids that won’t respect his space.

She ended up in a shelter and in a foster home with dogs she didn’t get along with, and she appears to have been mistreated by humans . Since coming to BTBR, she’s been hanging out with her foster mom and learning that people aren’t always scary, but she can still be very fearful. Because of Miss Bella’s past, she needs a quiet, adult-only home, with no other pets and a fenced yard. Though she will not be the neighborhood social butterfly, she would love to be your world. She loves snuggles on the couch, chewing on toys, and sunbathing. She is house trained, spayed, and up to date on all vetting. Miss Bella is currently in Aiken, SC. He is friendly, playful, house trained, and crate trained. Toby is deaf, but it doesn't slow him down. He enjoys walks, belly rubs, and playing with stuffies! His foster mom has been working with him to learn some basic hand signals. Toby still has puppy energy and would enjoy having another dog who he can rough house with. He is currently too rambunctious with small children or timid dogs. This will improve with age and training. He has not been cat-tested. Toby is a cute and happy little guy located in Charleston, SC. Ayla is a sweet, silly and playful approximately 6-year-old Boston Terrier / Old English Bulldog mix. This sturdy girl is about 40 lbs. She is very shy at first at first meeting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she warms up to you, she loves to get pets and scratches. Ayla loves chew toys (you'll need the "super chewer" variety) and enjoys a good game of fetch. She is a love bug that is eager for love and affection. She loves kids, though she can be a bit jumpy when excited and older kids would be best. Ayla likes other dogs, but needs a friend that is submissive, allowing her to be the dominant one. She is house trained and crate trained, though she'd much prefer the floor or couch. She has a cherry eye that may need surgery, which the rescue will pay for. Ayla is located in Boiling Springs, SC. He is 19 pounds, up to date on vetting including neuter, and very sweet, but he is very timid and scared! He is looking for someone patient, with a big heart, to give him a chance at a happy forever! Teddy loves other dogs and is learning that humans can be trusted. He has shown no aggression, only being very timid! The ideal home will have another dog or two for his confidence and a fenced yard. Once trust is earned, Teddy can practice with a leash and take some walks. The adoption fee for Teddy will be greatly reduced for the right fit. We just want to give him the best chance!
