Betty Boop starts her day with a big stretch. Next is straight out the door for a poopy. Then its breakfast time which is pretty quick since next comes play time. Rope tuggies are the best. Betty is still a puppy. She loves toys . She loves her chewys . Boopy is happy funny playful sweet silly cuddley and wants all of the attention just like any other 2 year old. And if youre not smiling she's going to remind you to. Shes silly and needs a family just as upbeat and happy to match her personality that she can fit right in to. ( Were available to meet at a park in town for a play date to say hi to your other dog/doggies and see if they are compatable ) Betty is *fully vaccinated *spayed *microchipped *heartworm negative and on preventative.

Story
Approx. DOB: 11/16/14                 Approx. Weight: 17 Lbs Adoption Fee: $175 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Birmingham (aka Birmy) is a senior Pug mix (possibly with Boston Terrier) who came to Furry Kids after her Dad passed away. Birmy is in a foster home with dogs of all sizes and cats(she really needs a cat free hgome). She has always been an only dog and would probably do best with another low key dog. She loves her human and is very loyal to one person. She loves running and playing ball in her yard. Birmy is a really sweet dog but has her quirks. She needs a dog savvy owner that is more of a homebody.  She has developed a trust of her foster Mom and has even started to snuggle with her! No children or teens for Birmy. If another dog or person rushes her or she becomes overstimulated she will give a warning snap 'saying back off' but has never bitten to our knowledge. Birmy does ok on a leash but needs work. She needs a fenced yard. I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Hello. My name is Ricco. I am a three and a half year old Pug/MinPin in search of my forever home. I’m neutered, vaccinations are up-to-date, and micro-chipped. I live with a 13 year old female Chihuahua, a 13 year old female Terrier, and two cats. I want to play with the other dogs, but they are old and don’t want to play with me (to be honest, the Chihuahua frightens me sometimes). I like to go for rides in the car and walks in the neighborhood. I eat in my crate and sleep at night in there too. My foster human tells me I’m a good dog and gives me kisses. I sit like a gentleman while waiting for treats. If you are patient with me, I will love and protect you forever. Please adopt me.

Story
This is a courtesy post for an individual or group seeking a new home for Dylan.  Dylan is not part of the PAWS program and PAWS holds no responsibility for this family pet.  Your next step would be to complete our online application which can be found at kcpaws.org and it will be forwarded to the individual/group responsible for Dylan.   link to application https://form.jotform.com/230296113596155     Dylan was found as a stray by one of our partnering rescue volunteers, he was malnourished, sick, and had demodex mange. This caused him to loose nearly all of his hair, and have open sores all over his body. It appeared that he had been kept standing in a small kennel for long periods of time as his paw pads had become over grown and flattened.   Dylan overcame nearly a year of physical recovery, it was a long journey to get to where he is today. But he is a fighter, he has always been a sweet happy boy no matter what he was going through. Luckily he has been able to recover in an amazing foster home! Here is what his foster mom has to say about life with Dylan-   Dylan loves to play to play ball , chase balls and even sometimes sleeps with them   - Dylan loves to cuddle and sleep with my son. He always wants to sleep in bed.   - Dylan loves to eat, he loves food. He prefers to eat in his kennel and that where I feed him always.   - Dylan loves to run and chase , he is very curious of everything. Even small animals who don’t love him back.   -Dylan likes to watch tv and sit with the family after playtime    Dylan will need to be the only pet in the home and needs a home without small children as he can be mouthy when he plays, older teenagers would be okay.   Dylan can jump a fence, and will need to be supervised in the yard.   Dylan is very playful and would do best with an active owner.     October 28, 2024, 6:52 pm
