Boo is a sweet girl who has had a very rough start to life. We do not have all of the specifics, but we know that Boo is frightened of new people, particularly men, and shows signs of abuse. With some time and lots of treats, though, she will warm up to anyone! Boo was the runt of her litter and has an underbite that makes her look a little grouchy. She is fearful and people must be willing to work slowly with her to gain their trust. Once she loves you, though, she loves you with her entire heart. Boo is a snuggle bug but definitely has a lot of energy! Boo would do best in a home that is willing to be slow and consistent with her training and can provide her with lots of exercise! We are working on house-training now, but it will be a work in progress as she is not yet used to living in a home. Boo loves to play, but can be a little too much excitement for cats. If you are looking for an energetic dog who is ready to be shown love, Boo is the girl for you!

Betty Boop starts her day with a big stretch. Next is straight out the door for a poopy. Then its breakfast time which is pretty quick since next comes play time. Rope tuggies are the best. Betty is still a puppy. She loves toys . She loves her chewys . Boopy is happy funny playful sweet silly cuddley and wants all of the attention just like any other 2 year old. And if youre not smiling she's going to remind you to. Shes silly and needs a family just as upbeat and happy to match her personality that she can fit right in to. ( Were available to meet at a park in town for a play date to say hi to your other dog/doggies and see if they are compatable ) Betty is *fully vaccinated *spayed *microchipped *heartworm negative and on preventative.

Approx. DOB: 11/16/14 Approx. Weight: 17 Lbs Adoption Fee: $175 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Birmingham (aka Birmy) is a senior Pug mix (possibly with Boston Terrier) who came to Furry Kids after her Dad passed away. Birmy is in a foster home with dogs of all sizes and cats(she really needs a cat free hgome). She has always been an only dog and would probably do best with another low key dog. She loves her human and is very loyal to one person. She loves running and playing ball in her yard. Birmy is a really sweet dog but has her quirks. She needs a dog savvy owner that is more of a homebody. She has developed a trust of her foster Mom and has even started to snuggle with her! No children or teens for Birmy. If another dog or person rushes her or she becomes overstimulated she will give a warning snap 'saying back off' but has never bitten to our knowledge. Birmy does ok on a leash but needs work. She needs a fenced yard. I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. Charlotte Good with dogs, & kids. NO CATS. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Kenji was described by the shelter as a Boston Terrier, and we agree with that, but he seems taller and lankier than a Boston with those long legs! We think he could be part Boxer or a "Boxton." He weighs about 17 pounds and is about 3 years old. When we got him, he was heartworm-positive but has been treated and has tested heartworm-negative. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and on heartworm preventative. He is a very sweet dog, but would not do well with cats, or smaller dogs. He has not been tested with children. Kenji is located in St. Louis, and his adoption fee is $260.
