He is being fostered by his adopters until his heartworm treatment is completed. This adorable munchkin is Maximus! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 12/6, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Maximus is now looking for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Maximus as friendly and loving. He is a well-behaved little guy; he's quiet in his kennel and he walks nicely on leash! If you're looking for a small, cute, new BFF to dote on please come meet Maximus! Maximus is approximately 2 years old, and he weighs 16 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Maximus did test positive for heartworms, but with proper care and treatment, he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives his treatment. Maximus is waiting patiently in kennel 322; his ID # is 6691. Pansy is 4 months old and weighs 8 lbs. She is an adorable chubby girl with a sweet pug personality. She is a little shy when she meets you but warms up quickly. There are no known health issues. She was surrendered by a breeder and she is currently in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee is 950.00 and includes transport to the Northeast or Southeast. We prefer a home who has experience with pugs or similar breeds. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a $20.00 donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Tommy is 5 months old. He is shy when he meets you. He warms up quickly and his playful pug personality emerges. He gets along well with others. He was surrendered to rescue because he is cryptorchid, has an undescended testicle. His neuter will be more invasive if it does not descend. This is not a major health issue and it is easily corrected. He will need work on housetraining. Adoption fee is 850.00. He is in boarding in the midwest.
