Story
Meet Gigi: A Petite Pup with a Big Heart   Gigi is a delightful Boston Terrier mix who weighs just 14 pounds but carries a world of love and personality. A true social butterfly, Gigi gets along splendidly with dogs of all breeds and sizes. She is fully potty-trained, house-trained, and crate-trained, making her a dream companion. When nature calls, she’ll sit by the front door and give a gentle bark to let you know she’s ready to go outside.   At bedtime, Gigi is adaptable; she’ll happily sleep in her crate or burrow under a blanket in your bed for extra warmth and closeness. Gigi is a pro on leash and equally reliable off-leash, making her a joy to take on walks and adventures.   This little lady thrives on routine and does well on a twice-daily feeding schedule. When left home alone, she’s content in her crate, waiting patiently for your return. Gigi has luxating patellas in both knees, a condition that may lead to arthritis in her later years. While her knees don’t bother her now, a quality joint supplement is recommended to keep her moving comfortably for years to come.   Initially shy and timid around new people, Gigi warms up quickly and will soon form a deep bond with her favorite human. Loyal and affectionate, she loves to “dance” and “speak” on command, bringing joy to everyone around her. Playtime with her humans or doggy friends is one of her favorite pastimes, but she’s equally content to sunbathe or snuggle under a blanket when it’s time to relax.   Gigi would thrive in a home with middle school to high school-aged children who can respect her gentle nature and playful spirit. With her sweet demeanor and endearing quirks, Gigi is ready to find her forever home and share her boundless love. Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.  April 11, 2025, 7:02 pm

Story
Pepe is a 12-week-old Boston Terrier mix with a heart full of love and a whole lot of personality! This little guy may be small in size, but he’s big on charm. He’s as cuddly as they come and has no problem keeping up with the big dogs in his foster home—he plays confidently with his 60- and 80-pound foster siblings and absolutely loves every minute of it.   Pepe is doing a fantastic job with crate and potty training. He’s working hard and making great progress—he sleeps through the night in his kennel without a peep and has just the occasional accident on a puppy pad.   Pepe’s personality is a perfect mix of sweet and silly. He’s gentle and affectionate, but also playful and full of spunk. Whether he’s romping around with his toys, zooming around the room, or snuggling up for a nap, Pepe is guaranteed to bring joy wherever he goes. His easygoing and social nature makes him a great candidate for a home with young kids or other pets.   Pepe is ready to bring love, laughter, and lots of tail wags to his forever home!   Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. Story
Lila (Lee-la) is a spirited 10-week-old, 7 lb Boston Terrier mix with a big personality packed into her petite frame. Bursting with energy and enthusiasm, she’s always ready for her next adventure—whether it’s zooming around the backyard, exploring every corner, or engaging in a lively game of tug with her favorite toys. This little dynamo thrives in the company of others and gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and even cats! She’s playful, social, and loves to be right in the middle of the action. While she’s still working on crate and potty training, she’s a smart and eager learner who’s making great progress every day. Because of her high energy and love for playtime, Lila needs a home with a securely fenced yard and at least one other active dog to match her enthusiasm. She’s looking for a family that can keep up with her zest for life and provide the structure, love, and playtime she craves. Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. Story
Meet Bruin, an adorable Brindle and white colored Boston Terrier! This cutie is estimated to be around 2-3yr old, and weighs 20lbs. Bruin came to BarkVille Dog Rescue after being found as a stray, nearly starved to death. He is now thriving in his foster home and is loving life! He is dog friendly and has a rough and tumble play style! He walks great on leash (no pulling!) and is crate trained, and house trained. Bruin has a typical Boston Terrier personality - he is fun loving, energetic, cuddly, and stubborn at times! Bruin would love a family who will spend time playing with him, and a fenced yard (no chain link). He will bark when crated, so no apartments. Due to his energy and play style, he would do best with older kids/teens. Bruin is currently heartworm positive, and is currently available for a foster to adopt situation until his HW treatment is complete and he is medically cleared for adoption. If you are not familiar with Heartworm disease, dogs get it from mosquitoes and it is not contagious. It is easily prevented & highly treatable, but requires extended rest during treatment. BarkVille will cover all of Bruin&#39s medical expenses while he&#39s being fostered and receiving HW treatment. For more information about Bruin, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org. If you would like to adopt this sweet boy, please submit an application for him at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live in the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from his foster home.March 19, 2025, 11:34 am

Story
Roxie has just completed a 2 week board and train program and her new adopter will have lifelong access to refresher courses. She would do well in a structured home. Older kids and either a dog her size, or larger. She could also be the only pet. She was rescued from a county shelter when she was just skin and bones. Despite her tenacious personality, she is also very sweet and loves to snuggle.

Story
"Courtesy Post" This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting a family with placing their pet.  Lucky has had a very rough life so far. He needs a long term foster or furever home. We will cover all costs and supplies for a foster. He went to our vet for a thorough lookover, wound treatment and neuter. We thought for sure he was a senior however he is only 4-6 years old.   Here are the notes from the call with the vet. His liver and kidney values are good. He is a strong heartworm positive, he has an elevated white blood count (WBC), non-regenerative anemia, yeast infection on his skin and in his ears, his left ear is almost entire closed and is consider chronic, he is deaf in his left ear due to the untreated ear issues, he has limited hearing in his right ear. He will need ongoing treatment for his ears. His right testicle was atrophied. This could a tumor, diseased or maybe even cancer. We chose to neuter him to give him the best prognoisis and send it off for biopsy. He has bacteria in his urine, his fecal was negative. He has cranial nerve deficits possibly from the chronic ear issues. He has issues with his trigiminal and facial nerves, he eats funny due to this affecting the muscles, but his teeth look good. His pupils are mildly dialated and do not respond to light, blinking issues and likely optical nerve issues. He does have limited sight and smell. He is on prednisone in hopes to reduce inflamation and we hope that will also help his face, the nerve issues give hime the very excited look.  This boy is so sweet with everyone he has met. We do not feel he should be with cats. He has been with dogs and did fairly ok but due to the sight issues we think being an only pet may be best. He does love to play with his toys and his Pet Supermarket teddy bear is his favorite for now.  Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $250 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.     This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.  March 31, 2025, 7:15 pm
