CHAR is currently in a high kill shelter in Arkansas and is hoping to catch a ride on 3/15/25 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue to Cedarburg WI. She needs an ADOPTER or FOSTER to secure her spot, or she will be stuck at the shelter! Please apply to foster or adopt on our website: www.muttlife.org ABOUT: Char is a sweet and friendly pup who was found as a stray in rural Arkansas with her 2 brothers. They ended up at a kill shelter and so far both of her brothers have been tagged by other rescues. Char is friendly with other dogs and people, she has not been tested with cats yet. She is a very smart and loving girl who would is hoping for a forever home! __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.  __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. ​3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
