Story
Hello! My name is Hadley and I was born end of May 2024. I am often told that I am a beauty and a terrific puppy. I am very calm and chill most of the time just playing with my toys, but I do get my puppy zoomies too. My foster mom says I am doing great with potty training. I sleep in my kennel at night, and it is dry in the morning. I am great with other dogs and kids but have not been around cats. My foster is getting me exposed to car rides and socializing, and so far, doing great!

Story
Tessa, adopted at around four months old, has returned to Our Pack seeking a new home without cats and with ample opportunities for mental and physical stimulation. After spending eight months in a home, an incident allegedly occurred involving a resident cat, but the details are unclear. We are unsure what triggered the incident or its severity. To better understand Tessa's needs, we ask questions about her training and behavior, and attempt to make recommendations, as ultimately the goal is to have a dog stay in the home it knows. If manageable with proper guidance. We want to emphasize that we never advised the previous adopter to 'train the prey drive out of her,' as this is a genetic trait that cannot be eliminated. Nor did we bash or attempt to shame the person for this incident. Instead, we recommend managing and redirecting this drive to prevent situations and give her a job to focus on If this hadn't already been attempted and was safe to do so. We'd like to point out while sometimes situations and incidents can be stressful, please respect us too. Contacting us right away is totally okay so we are made aware however please give us time. We were contacted several times on Christmas Day, we are foster based. Volunteers that just enjoy doing this in our spare time trying to make a difference. , We responded as best we could given the holiday but again please keep in mind we are humans and have families and deserve that time, too. Contacting our fosters after contacting us is not an appropriate chain of action. Tessa is receiving love and snuggles from her foster. She requires a home without cats or other small critters as she likes to chase wildlife, and it is essential to understand that her behavior, as a young dog, is normal. We are seeking a new home for Tessa where she can thrive.December 29, 2024, 10:08 am
