As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. He’s also been doing an amazing job with his training and would thrive in a home that can continue helping him build on that success. He can be a little overzealous when meeting new dogs, but once the ice is broken, he’s the most loyal playmate around. Curtis is the kind of dog who turns heads without even trying—and once you get to know him, you’ll see his personality is just as striking. This athletic herding mix is built for adventure and recently discovered a love for canicross—he’s a total natural! Curtis happily joined a group run and kept up like a pro, soaking in every second. If you’re looking for a running buddy or an active partner, he’s ready to go. He also loves playing ball and tug in the yard and is always up for a good game. He walks nicely on leash and is learning when it’s time to stay close versus when he can lean into a run with his harness. Curtis is both housebroken and crate trained—he trots right into his crate for bedtime or when you leave and settles in without a peep. When the day winds down, Curtis is all about the cuddles. He’ll tuck his head into your neck and melt into you like the sweetest weighted blanket. He thrives on routine, eagerly heading to his spot at mealtime and eating like a champ. Curtis enjoys playing with other dogs and has lovely, appropriate social skills with them. He can be a bit nervous when meeting new people and is especially uncomfortable around children, so he’s looking for a patient, adult-only home where he can continue to build confidence. Curtis would love an active home that can give him both the physical outlets he craves and the quiet reassurance he needs. Lincoln is a handsome young Border Collie Mix, with an estimated date of birth of December 23 2022. He weighs about 45 lbs. He absolutely loves people and is very affectionate. However he is not fond of other dogs. Lincoln enjoys spending time in his foster family’s yard and would love a forever home with a large, secure fenced (above ground) yard. He loves spending time with human friends and needs a family or, a single pet parent, who will spend plenty of time with him. Because he’s not good with other dogs, dog parks are not on his list of favorite places! However, he is an active boy and would love to go for hikes and runs with his people….when he’s not playing in his own yard! Border Collie experience is a big plus for this smart boy. Due to his energy/playfulness, he is not an apartment or condo dweller. Rather, he’d love his own spaces where he could run and play, and an active family, or pet parent!! Lincoln is up to date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventative. He is neutered and microchipped as well.
