I AM IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION. ONCE APPROVED, PLEASE EMAIL US (INFO@ANIMALHOUSESHELTER.COM) AND WE CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO MEET ME! I am 74lbs, 9 years young, and l am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $75 I like going on car rides. I'm house-trained and know "sit" and "shake". I've been told I have the cutest smile, and I love being with my humans. I'm a good girl taking a bath, being brushed and going to the vet. Note from my foster family: Roxi is gentle, loves to cuddle, and wants to be with someone whenever she can. She loves naps, walks where she can sniff absolutely everything in sight, getting brushed, riding in the car with the windows down, all kinds of treats and snacks, and ear scratches. She is extremely tolerant of children, even though she prefers adults and once she’s comfortable in her new home and finds a toy she likes, she enjoys playing fetch with anyone who will encourage her. She is very well behaved, and we have not needed to have her in a crate at all, even when she’s alone in the house (we just put a gate in our kitchen). She will wait at the door or window for you until you come back. Roxi is a huge love bug who would be a great addition to any family! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Story
MIRA IS BEING FOSTERED IN GARY IN OH SWEET MIRA!  This darling little girlie is is just 8lbs and was born on 10/16/2024 ish.  At just 8 weeks old, she and he 2 brother littler mates were found on the side of the road dumped in rural Missouri. :(. These border collie babies are SUPER smart already and are already tracking things visually with their eyes to herd. Full grown Border Collies are usually 30-55lbs.  Mira is being fostered with a 2 legged toddler, cats and other dogs.  She does great with everyone!  She is still such a baby that she is being exposted to the Rule of 12s in her foster home and that socialization tactic will need to continue in her forever home.  Mira is doing GREAT with potty training and crate training!  She will need to stay on a schedule to be successful in her forever home.   This little smartie pants will want a job when she grows up!  If you have never had a border collie or a working dog before, we recommend doing a little research before committing to this high energy working breed!  She will need a MINIMUM of 2-3 hours of exercise throughout the day.  She will also need someone home more than not at the beginning so she can potty train and she is still too young to be left alone for too long. Mira is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2250508##
