Meet Venus the Perfect Puppy! She is currently almost 9 weeks old and we think she may be a Border Collie/Labrador mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch more about Venus here: We think Venus is indeed the perfect puppy, and it just takes one look at her sweet fluffy face and expressive eyes to know that we just might be right. Venus is a gorgeous silky soft black fluffball that we simply can't get enough of! But it's not just Venus' appearance that will hook 'ya because this adorable girl has the charm and charisma to match. Venus is a very social young lady, and everyone she meets is a friend - potentially a bestie, and definitely deserving of a few licks to brighten their day. (It will; it definitely will.) Her joyful attitude is absolutely contagious, and you can't NOT smile after meeting Venus. This smart cookie is already learning all the doggy ropes from the other dogs in her foster home. She is around several other dogs of all sizes and personalities, and this magnetic girl gets along with all of them, from the big to the small. She is learning so much, and has mastered the 'sit' already. If all of that isn't enough (!), Venus is extremely cat-friendly, so much so that we think she might be part cat, lol. Venus is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. The adoption fee is $1200.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
