Story
This beautiful and well mannered guy is just 7 months old and we got him as a playmate to our female pit bull. He's a great companion that needs lots of love and exercise. He loves to play, go for walks and give hugs and kisses. Unfortunately our female has decided to push him away and make him uncomfortable. We just barely got him from the original owner that was unable to keep up with him. He needs to be loved and taken care of.

Story
Meet Benito – Your Happy-Go-Lucky Adventure Buddy! Basic Info: Name: Benito Breed: Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog Mix Sex: Male DOB: April 10, 2022 Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: April 9, 2024 Personality – Happy, Playful & Full of Zest: Benito is pure sunshine on four paws! Always ready to play, explore, or lean in for a pet, he’s got an infectiously joyful personality that will keep a smile on your face. He loves interactive games, running around the yard, and getting belly rubs. Benito thrives on connection and fun—he’s a dog who wants to be in the middle of the action and part of the family. With him, every day is a new adventure. Breed Information: As a mix of Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog, Benito is naturally intelligent, alert, and active. These working breeds are known for their stamina, loyalty, and sharp minds. Benito will benefit from regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him balanced and happy. Puzzle toys, training sessions, and active play will help him shine. He’s eager to learn and eager to please! Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise: walks, play, fetch, or dog sports Offer mental stimulation through training, puzzles, and games Use positive reinforcement training—Benito is smart and responsive Maintain regular veterinary care and vaccinations Ensure he’s part of the family, not left alone for long periods Provide structure, patience, and love Create a safe, indoor home environment Commitment for Life: Benito is not a short-term companion—he's a lifelong partner. Adopting him means committing to his care, well-being, and happiness for all of his days. He needs a family that understands that dogs are not disposable—they are forever. In return, Benito will give you loyalty, laughter, and love every single day. Do Not Leash Your Dog Outside Unattended: Benito should never be tied up or left outdoors alone. He needs companionship, safety, and interaction. Tethering a dog outside is not only dangerous but also deeply unfair to a social, intelligent dog like Benito. He deserves to be inside, where he can be close to his people and thrive. Why Adopt Benito? Because Benito brings joy wherever he goes. He’s playful without being overwhelming, smart without being stubborn, and affectionate without being clingy. He’s the perfect match for an active individual or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a big heart. Adopt Benito and experience the happiness of having a dog who truly loves life—and loves you. Story
Meet Wednesday! 1 year old • 48 lbs • Border Collie Labrador Retriever MixWednesday is a bright, beautiful girl who’s equal parts playful and sweet. She’s a bundle of energy who loves spending time outside, going for walks, and—her absolute favorite—playing with other dogs! Once she’s gotten her zoomies out, she’s happiest hanging out with her people, following them around the house, or relaxing in a quiet spot under the bed.Wednesday can be a little timid at first and startles easily with sudden noises or fast movements, but once she warms up, her affectionate, goofy side shines through. She’s incredibly eager to please and quick to learn, especially when there’s chicken involved. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and does best in a home where she won’t be left alone for long stretches. Wednesday is still learning her manners—she can get jumpy when excited and sometimes needs help focusing—but she’s a smart, motivated girl who thrives with patient, consistent guidance.Because she can get overwhelmed in busy or unpredictable environments, Wednesday would do best in an adult-only home that can give her the structure and calm she needs to feel confident. A yard where she can run and play would make her happiest, and having another friendly dog to play with would be a big bonus!Wednesday’s ideal family will give her a “job” to do, plenty of activity, and lots of love and reassurance. In return, she’ll give you endless affection, hilarious ear expressions, and a loyal companion for life. Apply to meet Wednesday at http://caws.org/adoption-applicationAll CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Adoption fee: $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationNovember 7, 2025, 5:34 am

Story
If you're looking for a dog who will love you with every ounce of his being, look no further. Tyson is a 6-year-old mixed breed who specializes in one thing: devotion. Tyson is what some may call a 'Velcro dog,' but he prefers to say he never wants you to feel alone ever again. Tyson bonds incredibly quickly and has a way of making you feel like the most important person in the world. One of Tyson's most endearing quirks is his cat-like behavior. Instead of just a standard tail wag, he shows his affection by winding through your legs or rubbing his side against you like a 40-pound kitten. It's his favorite way to say 'hello,' while also ensuring he's always by your side. Tyson is impossible to resist with his signature floppy ear and a wide, generous smile that lights up his whole face. Tyson is a gentleman when it comes to house rules. While he isn't a fan of the crate (he'd much rather be where the action is!), he is trustworthy when left alone in the house. You won't have to worry about your shoes or furniture, Tyson prefers to spend his solo time napping and waiting for your return. Tyson gets along well with other dogs and would be happy in a home with other mellow pups, but would be equally happy being the only recipient of your affection. If you're looking for a loyal shadow - and your next biggest fan - please apply to meet Tyson today at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
