Story
Puppy energy, floppy ears, and an adorable side eye? Sign us up for Sally! This 7-month-old Border Collie mix is sweet and eager to learn, and ready to be your adventure buddy. Sally is a petite girl at just 22 pounds, and will likely continue to grow a bit as she gets older. Sally is a good girl in her crate and has good leash manners. She's still perfecting her house training, and needs continued basic training as she's still young. Sally would love a doggy friend in her new home, and is used to living with cats but can be a bit pushy with them. She can also be a little much for very small children, but would be fine with older kids as part of her family. Sally loves daily walks and adventures, and would like a yard in her future home. If Sally sounds like the pup you've been looking for, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
An experienced girl, at almost 8 years, Zara is seeking adventure and security. A pure bred border collie, we are pretty certain, this petite beauty is active and intelligent! Her genetics make her a great long haul running, hiking, walking and fetch buddy- she loves to run and has a sleek physique! She is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes, and gets along seamlessly with cats. Zara is perfect on leash and is great about resting in her crate when her people are away, for meals, at night, and for anytime she feels overwhelmed. She is a petite girl weighing in around 32#. Zara can be a little nervous at times, and while she is always on her best behavior, would be happiest and most balanced with a handler that will provide and enforce structure and boundaries for her, maximizing her confidence levels. She is generally quiet as a mouse, however she can be vocal at times so a home without shared walls will be best. In her adoptive home, this busy girl will also need access to a cozy crate. This helps her feel secure anytime she is alone or needs a place to get away from the daily chaos. Zara has learned to utilize the dog door and will let herself out to potty as needed. She rides nicely in the car and would also make a lovely travel companion. Zara is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and health checked. Her adoption fee is $200. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org! Thanks! Story
Hi! My name is Raine and I am 1 year and 5 month old Australian Shepard/Border Collie/Pitbull mix. I am a very playful girl who will make you laugh with my silly personality, and my howls! I am shy at first, but once you gain my trust I am extremely loving and cuddly. I am also very loyal, I will follow you wherever you go! I don’t do well with other dogs right away, I need someone who will take the time to let me warm up to other dogs by going on pack walks. I have been able to make other dog friends by doing this! I will do best in a home with no other animals. I LOVE to go on adventures, especially paddle boarding and hiking. On-leash days in Millcreek canyon are my favorite because I’m able to enjoy the outdoors without other dogs getting in my space! I also love the snow, I could roll and play in it all day long! I am spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, crate-trained and potty trained.

He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2059610##
