OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:We are thankful to a vet’s office that reached out to us when Gus’s previous owners requested him be euthanized because they could not find him a new home. Gus is an AMAZING dog! He’s sweet, mellow and adorable! He prefers a quiet home without small children. Although he may chase a cat unless trained not to, he could get along with mellow dogs; a meet and greet is recommended.Gus is very versatile! He can be a great outdoor buddy or a couch potato – you choose! He walks pretty well on the leash and knows the sit command. He is treat-motivated, which is helpful when training him to learn new things. He has the cutest overbite!Weighs 42 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
Aspen is an 8 month old Heeler mix female who currently weighs about 25 pounds (and growing!). She is a love bug, enjoys cuddling and snuggling when she is not wiggling or doing zoomies! She has many friends in her foster family, getting along with cats, small chihuahuas, and a big Doberman. She lets the cats sleep in her bed. Aspen is doing awesome with her crate training. She attended 2 full days at puppy school with Kudos 2 Canine training. Potty training is a work in progress, but she is learning from the others. Her favorite joy is to be outside running in the sunshine. If you can keep up with her and enjoy playing she will be your best friend.Aspen would love another playful dog in her adoptive home and a family who takes her out on adventures to see the world outside of her back yard, attends a basic training course with her, and continues to socialize her with other pets, people and places. Aspen's adoption fee is $300 and includes her first years vaccines, deworming, health check, microchip, and spay. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Thanks! Good with dogs,
Story
Meet Daisy, a puppy filled with boundless energy and a sharp mind that's eager to learn. Daisy is roughly 6 months old and possibly an Australian Shepherd mix. Though her shyness might make her seem reserved at first, give her time and she'll slowly open up, revealing a playful and affectionate side. She's a quick learner, picking up commands quickly, and cautious, always making sure her surroundings are safe before exploring. Daisy would thrive in a home with an active family, where she can expend her energy and engage in stimulating activities. She would do best in a home with another confident dog to show her the ropes. Her forever family should be committed to continuing her training as she grows into a smart, confident dog. Daisy is more than just a pet; she's a companion, a friend, and a family member. She's waiting for a loving family who can appreciate her timid but sweet nature, and in return, she promises a lifetime of loyalty and love.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Daisy, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJuly 1, 2024, 8:23 am

Story
Hi! My name is Raine and I am 1 year and 5 month old Australian Shepard/Border Collie/Pitbull mix. I am a very playful girl who will make you laugh with my silly personality, and my howls! I am shy at first, but once you gain my trust I am extremely loving and cuddly. I am also very loyal, I will follow you wherever you go! I don’t do well with other dogs right away, I need someone who will take the time to let me warm up to other dogs by going on pack walks. I have been able to make other dog friends by doing this! I will do best in a home with no other animals. I LOVE to go on adventures, especially paddle boarding and hiking. On-leash days in Millcreek canyon are my favorite because I’m able to enjoy the outdoors without other dogs getting in my space! I also love the snow, I could roll and play in it all day long! I am spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, crate-trained and potty trained.

Found this little guy sifting through a trash can on a trail I was one. He's the most loving, loyal, fun, happy, out-going, spunky, playful, fearless, and resilient pup anyone could ask for. As much as I wish I could keep him for myself, I know there is a loving home out there for him just waiting to be connected! I am leaving for the military soon and have been trying to find him a home for about 6 months now.

Story
Gilly is a super sweet and petite 2-3 year old border aussie. We are fostering her until we find her the perfect home! If you're looking for a loving, adventure-seeking dog this is your girl! Despite the awful shelter living conditions she came from, she has been nothing but loving, sweet, and a fast learner. She is good with cats! She is great with other dogs and loves to play! She loves people and is very cuddly, she will melt into you. She has great leash manners being trained with the figure 8 loop. She is potty-trained and is 90% crate trained and learning fast! She will come with a bed, collar, leash, treats, all vet records, and access to us for any help if needed. She is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and spayed **Adopter MUST be active and willing to exercise Gilly daily (not just leaving her in a backyard to play). Adopter must know the fulfillment that herding breeds require.** She is a fantastic dog and will be such a great addition to someones life!
