She is very affectionate and loves hanging out with her humans and playing fetch. She is leash, house, and crate trained. She is a very obedient and lovely gal that is eager to please her family. She was in her previous home with small children and other dogs. She has been a very even tempered, easy going girl that is ready for her forever home. She is very playful and would make a great running partner. Daisy is spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Cassie is 2 years old, 44 lbs Hi! I'm Cassie! I'm almost 2 years old and full of happiness! My life started off a bit rough, I was found as a stray and taken to the shelter, then my first "family" gave me away on Craigslist and I was eventually brought back to the shelter after being found all alone again. But this hasn't put a damper on my loving, trusting, full of life energy! I'm still a puppy and LOVE to play! Tennis balls and fetch are my absolute favorite, although I'm still working on the dropping the ball for my human once I fetch it! Don't worry though, I'm a fast learner and within 3 days in my new foster home I've started learning the commands sit, and lay down with training treats! I'm amazing in my crate and go right inside at bedtimes, just make sure I have a bone or toy and I'm good to go! I don't have any food aggression at all, I love all treats and absolutely LOVE playing with other dogs, just make sure I'm introduced slowly and correctly!! I'm good with kids but I do like cats a bit too much and probably need a family without any. I'm a really really good girl and want nothing more than to be loved! Squeaky toys are amazing and I'm really entertaining to my foster humans with the ones they've given me. I know I'd make a wonderful family dog for someone if they would be willing to give me a chance! Will you be my new furever family?

This sweet, striking lady was easy to leash up and walk today; she knew “sit”; was not mouthy or jumpy; she seemed treat motivated - did on occasion jump up for a treat if I made her wait too long but she was VERY gentle and redirected easily into sit; she wanted to be close and occasionally whined; she enjoyed exploring the yard and taking in the fresh, cold air; nice, calm demeanor; seemed to have good recall; is a “holder” - might be easy to potty train (if she isn’t already); a very gentle gal!

According to a concerned citizen, Laila’s owner fell ill and Laila escaped through an open gate. She was found a stray on the streets of Charlotte. While fending for herself, she became pregnant on the streets. She was almost full term when she was spayed and her babies terminated. After her surgery, Laila experienced a seizure in her kennel. She was found unresponsive on the cold, hard kennel floor. She came to and seemed fine. Laila was soon taken into foster care. Her first foster only had her for a short time, but it was there that she bonded with a stuffed squirrel. Laila took that squirrel everywhere and groomed it like the puppies she had lost. Soon after, she was moved to a second foster. After a month, she was unable to stay in that home. I am her third foster. Sweet Laila has blossomed in our home. She is perfectly house trained, can be left out (no crate needed!), loves kids, dog friendly, and literally the best snuggle bug ever. Laila loves to be around her person. She will sleep on the bed with you or in a dog bed next to your bed. She will patiently wait for you while you are out and about and is always excited to see you when you come home! She now has a Baby Dino that she grooms and takes everywhere. She is a true mama pup at heart. Laila would love a furever home. She is the sweetest pup who truly just wants to be loved. Gemma has a small dog face with a big dog body, making her the perfect-sized dog, but also keeping our rescue guessing as to her breed! Gemma is everything you could ever want in a pup - she loves walks and being outdoors, but will happily cuddle up on the couch with you for the rest of the afternoon! Her curiosity might be her cutest trait and watching her figure out how to play with stuffed toys will forever be one of her foster’s favorite memories. Because Gemma lived most of her life outside, she’s still curious about certain aspects of indoor life, like the tv and the fireplace, but she’s adjusting well!
