Meet Cher: Cher is estimated to be about a 9 week old (as of January 19, 2025) border collie / mountain cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 7 pounds. Cher was dumped with her buddy Sonny on someone’s porch in Ashland, MS. The property owner took the pups in to get them safe, but wasn’t able to keep them so reached out to Charlie’s Crusaders to help find them great homes. Cher is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Cher is a super sweet, friendly, tail wagging puppy that loves to be held and pet! As a puppy, Cher will need some patience while she works on her house training. Meet Francis: Francis is an 11 week old (as of February 2, 2025) collie / heeler mix that weighs 5 pounds. This sweet little runt of the litter was being bullied by the dogs in his home and the owners reached out to our rescue in hopes of helping him find a safe home. Francis is currently being fostered in the south and would love to catch the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! This super cute pup is very sweet and gets along great with other dogs, but is more submissive and can be picked on by more assertive dogs. Francis is sweet, playful, curious and snuggly. As a puppy, Francis will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Francis to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. We are calling them "Border Bullies"! Mama is a Border Collie, dad is a Pit Bull! I cannot imagine how smart these pups will be! They were born on October 13th. The owner of Nelly (mom) and Bruce (dad) unfortunately wound up in jail and obviously couldn't take care of this little family so they were surrendered to us on the day they were born. Both mom and dad have beautiful temperaments so I am quite sure these pups will be amazing! They will be available for adoption by January 11, 2025. We are delighted to say that during this beautiful season of renewal and friendship and family bonding, we have 8 precious little Border Collie/Aussie mix puppies that are looking for a fresh and forever start to their life. Born about the middle of October to a beautiful Aussie mix mom, these babies were fortunately taken in by a senior couple who nurtured them for 7 weeks. Now these precious beauties are in individual foster homes and learning so much as they grow. 5 boys and 3 girls. They are handled and cuddled so much! No fear issues have touched their spirit! Mom is a 45 pound white and black beauty and we expect each of these smart pups to be in the 45-50 pound range as an adult.
