Story
This week guy was left locked in a cage for a couple of months. Since he's been in rescue, he is very affectionate and playful. Loves dogs, and kids but not a cat guy. We think he's about three years old and he weighs 40 pounds. Would love to have someone to run and play tug with. He would love a fun active family. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please visit funnyfarmpets.org, or you can read all about our Tennessee based rescue and find the link to submit the adoption application He is ready to go!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Lela.  She is approximately 5-6 months old.  She was found as a stray and is thought to be a Border Collie mix.  Lela has been in a foster home since she was around 17 weeks.  Immediately her foster Mom noticed a problem with the way she walked.  After an exam and x rays it was found that Lela had a broken hip.  She had an extensive surgery to shave down her femoral bone and reattach her butt muscles.  It has been almost 5 weeks since her successful surgery and she is doing amazing. She still struggles jumping a bit, but her foster Mom believes with time she will be able to.  She is finally ready for her forever home.  Lela is a very very smart, sweet, happy girl.   She is 100% potty trained in her foster home and knows a few commands like sit and speak.  She loves all people....men, women, and children.  She also loves other dogs, but can have some jealousy issues sharing bones and toys.  For a puppy she is not high energy.  She loves and needs a nice walk, but is very content laying on the floor chewing a bone or a toy.  She also loves to be outside.  She is very content just laying in the grass or by a campfire with you.  Lela is not so much a snuggler despite her love of people.  She prefers to sprawl out on the floor, on a cool spot, or in her crate alone. Yes she is crate trained and she does great.  She often goes in there for nap time without being coaxed.  She sleeps in her crate every night. She is still a puppy and she is still in the chewing phase so she needs a lot of supervision with that.  If she can get it, it's fair game. She loves to play fetch, chase and jump after grasshoppers, and even play wrestle a little bit. She will make any family a wonderful addition.     When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. We look at each and every application that comes into our rescue in attempts to make the perfect match! This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us. Story
“One of the most intelligent breeds, challenging to live with, intensity and obsessive zeal of working, sharp-eyed, quick-thinking, fanatical workaholic” That’s what you think about when considering a Border Collie! Well, hate to BURST YOUR BUBBLE, “That’s NOT ME!” Hey all, I’m Shadow, a 6 month old gal weighing in at approx. 40#. Thought to be Border Collie Mix that is mixed with a much more docile, fun loving and goofy breed. Maybe a lab? Who knows, but I am intelligent, good with dogs, kids, adults and do have a bark that is heard at times (but not excessive). I don’t run around like a crazy girl, try to herd or show intensity. My best things in life are playing with toys, my fellow kennel mates, running/jumping in a pack or trying to return affection to my person. Yep, I’m eager to please and even tempered. Daily activity is good for all us 4-leggeds. Being young, I do still have some normal puppy training needs, but having some Border Collie in me, I know together we can tackle anything. Daily exercise is also needed, a few good walks, playing ball, frisbee or taking a ride will do. All these things will help me grow strong, gain experience and bond closer to you, my future mom/dad. So maybe my Border Collie cousins are into herding live stock, jumping like an acrobat for a frisbee, That’s not me. I’m a true, down to earth, loving girl that just wants to have a “Normal Good Time” with my family. How about it? Are you Game???? I’m Shadow and I want to be your “Inseparable Companion” by your side!  To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash.
