Story
Need to rehome our 5 year old Border Collie. He loves playing frisbee and with his toys. He enjoys walks and travels well. He is crate trained as well as house trained. Up to date on all shots and microchipped. High level of energy! Lots of pacing when excited. Could do well in a house who has time to devote to activity and/ or home with another dog. Weary of strangers at first as he is protective of home and family. No physical health issues.

Story
Sprout & her brother Wishbone were both owner surrendered. They are both a tad shy but loveable and friendly once warmed up. They get along with other dogs and people. We do not know how they feel about cats. Sprout is about 3 months old and 14 pounds. Please help Sprout find the loving home she deserves. Update: Sprout went to the vet for some hair loss around his eye. Although the vet did not see anything under the microscope, he wanted to treat it as he was suspicious of demodex (not contagious) and gave Sprout a shot of ivermectin and recommended a 2nd shot in a month (early January) to complete the treatment. If Sprout is adopted prior to her 2nd shot, the adopter must bring him back to OUR vet (we would pay for it) for the final shot. Sprout is currently available for adoption. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to please submit an application on our website today so that we can try and process and pre-approve any potential adopters prior to our next adoption event. PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. WE ONLY ACCEPT ADOPTION APPLICATIONS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. ANY OTHERS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. Application link here: http://www.oscaranimalrescue.org/oscar-1-application.html Adoption Process: 1.Fill out an application 2.Meet & Greet 3.Adoption contract & adoption fee Sprout's adoption fee is $475. For puppies that have not been able to be neutered/spayed yet (due to being too young or small) we charge $475 with the condition that when they are fixed $50 is refunded. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting. **If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Brody likes toys and car rides and is great with other dogs having attended doggy daycare in his last home. True to his breed, he is a herder and loves the outdoors. A family with herding breed experience would be best for him.
