Story
Meet Snoopy and Biscuit! These handsome boys were pulled as part of "Angel Retreat's ACCT's of love program. With this program we aim to pull 3-5 dogs a month from a very high volume, under funded, and under staffed urban kill shelter in our local area. Both Snoopy and Biscuit were scheduled to be euthanized due to arriving at ACCT suffering from Parvo virus. Parvo virus is extremely costly both financially and in terms of time required for round the clock care. The other shelter simply did not have the means to give these dogs a fighting chance at life, but we did, and were happy to step in and give him a chance. Snoopy first came to us and only a few days later we got a call that his brother Biscuit came in also dying of Parvo virus. We sprung into action and were able to save both of these boys and give them a second chance at life. They both have received the new parvo monoclonal antibody injection as well as lots of love and supportive care and now have fully recovered and are ready for a home of their own! Snoopy and Biscuit are 3 month old border collie mixes who are excited and full of happiness for their second chance at life! These are very intelligent and high energy working breed dogs and will require a very active family up to the task of providing them the ample physical and mental exercise they require. If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org If you are interested in contributing to our "ACCTs Of Love fund to help buy more of the lifesaving monoclonal antibody to save Parvo puppies please donate through the following links: Venmo: angels-retreat Our website: https://checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/arpa

Story
Teddy is a 5 year old neutered male border collie mix. He was rescued as a puppy and adopted from us, but recently came back when they could no longer care for him. He has lived in a home with children for years and his favorite game is tug of war. He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash and will make a wonderful addition. Since coming back to us, Teddy is playful, full of energy and loves human affection If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application on our website www.justice-rescue.com

Story
This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and we will update their bio with more information as we learn. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
