Story
Meet Daisy! Breed: Border Collie Mix Estimated DOB: 11/07/2021 Sex: Female - spayed Weight: 30 lbs Currently up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations Things to Know About Daisy: Rescued from Mississippi  Settling in great; quickly feels at home and adapts to routines Timid with new people but warms up quickly with treats Loves love: enjoys pets, giving kisses, belly rubs, and snuggling close...especially in the evening after a day of playing Enjoys being outdoors, playing in the yard, sunbathing, and snuggling on the couch. Enjoys having her human around but also loves the company of another dog for playtime. Loves chasing balls and sticks (still working on retrieving)! Daisy would thrive in a home with a good-sized yard and space to run; loves being outside and gets excited for walks. Really enjoys hikes! Incredibly smart, a quick learner, and has mesmerizing two-tone eyes (one brown, one blue) Shows bravery even when unsure or uneasy. Knows "sit" and "crate"; working on "down"  and "paw." Doing well with leash training- likes to explore new smells but responds well to redirection. Gets super excited when she sees the leash. Loves adventures, especially going for drives; will happily be your copilot! Crate trained; settles quickly and stays quiet Sleeps in her crate at night and does well when crated during the day Housebroken Has met 12-13-year-olds in her foster home and done well with kids in this age group. Dog friendly—Initially takes time to adjust to new dogs, but once settled, she’s playful and affectionate. Cat friendly - Coexisted nicely with the TLC resident cat. A total love bug who will brighten every day with her energy, snuggles, and playful spirit Learn more and apply to adopt at TLCRescuePA.com/adopt Interested in fostering? Story
FLYER is a nine month old Chihuahua/Border Collie mix (South-of-the-Border Collie?). He came to us because the family had a baby, and a young child and a young pup were too much for them. He ended up being crated a lot and is definitely lacking in early social skills. Flyer is an independent, athletic pup who would do great with an outdoorsy family. He does pull on the leash in his exuberance but this is just a training issue. We do require that adopters of dogs 12 months and under attend a basic obedience class (of your choice) and this would be the case for Flyer. In our experience, this makes for a much more settled dog and successful adoption. Flyer is a great copilot and loves car rides! He has lived with cats although he will chase and play. He is good with other dogs and likes rough and tumble play. Flyer can be possessive of his food and toys so a home with young children is not recommended at this time. Flyer loves people but does take a little while to warm up – give him some treats and take him for a walk and you are golden. Flyer is only 20 pounds so he is a great travel size and would love to accompany you on your travels… camping, to the beach, you name it! Flyer has been neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and tested negative for Heartworms and tick borne diseases. Adoption $350. Are you the family he is waiting for? Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org. Meet and greet will be scheduled with approved application.January 2, 2025, 11:10 am

Story
Meet Cher: Cher is estimated to be about a 9 week old (as of January 19, 2025) border collie / mountain cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 7 pounds. Cher was dumped with her buddy Sonny on someone’s porch in Ashland, MS. The property owner took the pups in to get them safe, but wasn’t able to keep them so reached out to Charlie’s Crusaders to help find them great homes. Cher is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Cher is a super sweet, friendly, tail wagging puppy that loves to be held and pet! As a puppy, Cher will need some patience while she works on her house training. We would love for Cher to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Cher is up to date on her shots and will be spayed when age appropriate. If you are interested in giving this little one a happy home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. ##2282373##

Story
This girl ended in the shelter due to her owner being arrested and not being able to find her a home. Gracie is a great dog who has fit into her foster home quite well. She is learning about cats and being on a leash. She is housebroken with a dog door but was also house trained without one. She is a bit of energy so will need an active family to keep up! She is friendly and has gotten a long with other dogs of various sizes really well. She loves to play and is pure fun! She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.
