Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Meet Beth Anne! This 10-month-old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix was left tied to a sign post outside of the shelter but is now thriving and ready for her forever home! At around 25 lbs Beth Anne is the perfect size to join you on adventures this summer. Beth Anne is a wonderfully energetic pup and would love to join her people on regular walks, spend time at the park, or romp around in the yard with other dogs! She loves to watch the squirrels and birds and is happy to accept any and all treats when offered to her. When all is said and done for the day, she'd love nothing more than to curl up and take a snooze. She would love to learn some basic commands as she is still young and would thrive with positive reinforcement training. She is still working on potty training and rarely has an accident in the house, but will sometimes have accidents in her crate.
