Story
To meet Tuesday, contact Rachael at 440-773-0270 Hi! I'm Tuesday, and I'm hoping someone will adopt me! I'd been in the shelter for quite a while, so in March 2024, I was placed in a foster home so that I could remember what "home was like, and feel the freedom of running and playing in a backyard. If it would help you decide, I'm "all ears if you have any questions at the meet-and-greet! Here's what I know about myself: I'm housebroken! I know how to ring bells or nudge you if I need to go potty. I'm crate-trained! I especially don't mind going into my crate if I have a couple of treat-filled toys to occupy myself when I'm told to "go to the crate. Sometimes I get too excited with treat-filled toys, or want them all to myself, so it might be best to just use them if I'm in the crate. I don't even have to be in a crate! Once my foster mom got to know me, she let me out of the crate on a gradual basis, and then for full days while she was at work. While she's gone, I sleep, watch for squirrels in the backyard, or play with my toys. I'm a fast learner! I know a few commands: stop, sit, down, stay, come, shake paw, no-jump, and off (sometimes I get too excited to see someone come home!). I'm used to being told to "sit before eating from my food dish. Although I'm still working on heeling, I can heel on the left or the right. I know that when I'm told "okay, I can relax from a command. I love toys! Sometimes I enjoy bringing them to you, sometimes I like fetching them, but sometimes I like taking a toy and being by myself for a while. I enjoy watching birds and squirrels! I like chasing squirrels too! I'm athletic, and I love to accompany someone who's walking, jogging, or running. If you're not into that, my favorite activity happens to be running as fast as I can around a yard. I love going for car rides! I'm outside on a regular basis with my foster mom, either around the neighborhood, or hopping in the car for a road trip into the Metro Park, so I've also gotten used to a lot of different environments while on a leash. I love snuggling once I get to know someone! I know what "kisses means, so I'm happy to offer those too once I get to know someone. I've also been working with my foster mom on meeting other dogs and other people when we're out on the trails. Sometimes I'm nervous meeting new people, but once I get to know someone, I'm very happy to be with them!

Story
Meet Arrow! Arrow was born December 4, 2023 and is 6 months old. This little guy is handsome – black and white with all the speckles. Arrow is a mix of spitz, border collie and Mountain Feist. He should remain on the smaller side, less than 35 pounds, when fully grown. Arrow arrived to The Rescue Inn (TRI) in March with his sisters. He’s in foster care now with dogs of all different sizes. Arrow would love a home with other dogs that won’t be offended by his energetic nature and puppy antics. Arrow is looking for an energetic family that will cherish his spunk and will be active with him. A fenced in yard would be perfect for this boy to run around in. Arrow would make a great running or walking partner. Arrow will continue to blossom with guidance and boundaries. He is crate trained and potty trained. Contact TRI at therescueinn@gmail.com or (216) 369-9141 for more information!

5/12/2024 Update: Coops continues his brave battle with cancer. Only one person has cared enough to send him food and badly needed supplements. But that is the new world we now live in, no one cares and sick rescue dogs are at the bottom of the list. SPONSORS ARE NEEDED TO HELP GIVE COOPER LONGER TO LIVE WITH A QUALITY OF LIFE. COOPER IS FIGHTING CANCER AND NEEDS YOUR HELP. Cooper has presented with Oral Melanoma, July 2023. He has a large tumor growing in his jawline. This affects his ability to eat. He needs soft food and supplements that you can sponsor for him. He also needs surgery for tumor removal and partial jaw removal. Radiation treatments and supportive natural medicines and treatments. To be a life-saving sponsor for Cooper, email: IndianSummersRezQ@gmail.com for a list of help needed. There is no gift too small everything helps and if you are unable or not wanting to support Cooper with monetary or needed supply contributions then could you please offer up a prayer for this wonderful dog. Prayer and caring is a Great Healer. I know, first hand, I have been fighting my own cancer for many years. 4th Stage Terminal and I'm still here, still trying to help others like Cooper. My prayers are for every body fighting cancer, let us pray for one another in hopes that are prayers will be answered. Blessings and Thanks, Hope Summers ISBCRezQers

Story
Perth, named for a city in Australia is a sweet Australian Shepherd puppy. The Pups were born January 1, 2024. They are sweet, smart, have all their first shots (distemper/parvo/lepto, Bordetella, one year rabies) been microchipped, and are on heartworm/flea meds and are wormed. Perth has the cutest freckled legs.  To adopt this beautiful puppy, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org and we will see if it is a good fit for you and the pup. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org .We are requiring a fenced yard for these puppies. Australian Shepherds are herding dogs so probably would not be good for childen under 6.  Thinking about a new puppy….. things to keep in mind: Puppy will need time, training, love and connection, mixed in with a load of attention. Best if children are school age or older; we will consider younger children only on exception basis. Puppies have small bladders and need to have someone to let them out regularly for potty breaks…..work from home, work part-time, come home at lunch…..need a plan as they will need you every 4 to 5 hours until they are at least 6 to 8 months old. Will your current pet be willing to accept a new puppy. Puppies can be a handful. Will you be traveling extensively for the next couple of months? Puppy proofing your home is like baby proofing you home; it requires effort. Puppies can go to their new homes from 8 weeks, but holding on a little longer and letting them go around 12 weeks can be really beneficial, as their development and socializing will be a lot more established by that point. Those few extra weeks can make a big difference in how they act in their new home….. more social, less nippy. The adoption fee is $400. July 1, 2024, 12:31 pm
