Murphy is a young energetic boy that would do wonderful in a family that is active. He enjoyed walking on the trails here at the shelter but said no thank you when it came to the bridge. There’s no doubt with a little work and confidence building this will be an easy fix. He takes treats nicely from hand and enjoyed the hugs and kisses. If you would like to meet this young boy the shelter can be reached at 937-498-7201 to schedule a meet. Lobby hours are Monday –Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-12. Open kennel hours are Monday- Friday 12-4 with Saturday by appointment.

Izzy is a timid young dog, around a year old. She came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed by her owner. We are still getting to know her but she’s a very sweet girl and she hates being at the pound. Any kids or dogs in the home must come in for a meet and greet.

Due to living situation, I am looking to rehome my ten year old Border Collie mix. She’s very happy and energetic for her age. she would do well with a family and large yard. He loves being around people. She’s fully vaccinated and spayed. No rehoming fee. I’ll provide his bags of food, toys, collars and leashes, hygiene products, etc. If you’re interested we can set up a meeting. I would like to confirm it would be a good fit. My name is Jaxon! Im a 50 pound 10 months old Border Collie/Pitty mix. I was surrendered to the vet clinic because my left leg was run over by a car and injured when I was a 3 months old puppy. The kind veterinarian was able to reconstruct my leg. I have a limp and a large scar but I am still able to run and play like a normal dog. I can use my repaired leg to jump on and off the couch and the bed. I love to run up and down the stairs and to chase balls. Tennis balls are my favorite! I love to go on walks and to sit outside in the grass. I am a playful puppy who loves all toys, especially chew toys. I am crate trained and house broken. I love to meet other dogs. I will chase cats, squirrels, or bunnies . I am a very sweet and loving dog. In the evening, I love to sit on the couch to watch TV and to snuggle with my people. I sleep by myself in the kitchen and I do not make a peep until it's time to get up. I am not a barker. I love cuddles, belly rubs and sunbathing. I hope you like to play ball, because Im learning to play fetch. Im quite good at catching the ball. I do not love car rides but I ride well in my crate without barking.Jaxon would love a family with a fenced yard so that he can stay outside and lay in the sun as much as he wants. Jaxon would be best in a family with children 8 years old or older. He is a goofy boy and is still learning not to jump on people to greet them. Pretty is a pure bred shorthaired border collie, 2 years old. She is strong, gentle, affectionate. She desires to be obedient, listens and learns well, but had not been properly trained and may have some habits in need of correction. She has a strong a strong herding instinct, so she could make a good working farm dog. She is bold, but afraid of loud sudden noises such a thunder, fireworks, and gun shots, from which she seeks shelter or barks with concern at the sky. She would be a wonderful companion or family pet regardless. She has lived outside full time with her sister from the same litter, Joy, with access to five acres on which they happily roam and play. She gets along well with our four boys, ages 9–15, as well neighboring kids and adults. She has no fear of strangers and is friendly with everyone. Ideally, a new home would offer lots of outdoor time and space like she is accustomed to. She could live indoors with outside time, but may not be compatible with smaller pets because of her strong prey drive, and will need to be house trained. She is familiar with basic commands such as her name, come, sit, lie down, wait, and thank you (break word), yet she will need reinforcement training. Her sister Joy is also up for adoption, but because they have littermate aggression tendencies, Regina has suggested re-homing them separately.
