Story
Snoop is a beautiful puppy! All he wants is to be LOVED! He was born on 11/24/2024 to 2 dogs who work on a farm. Owner does not have time to care for him given his special needs. He was born with birth defects to both front legs. They appear to be fused at the elbow and the legs below the elbow are bent inwards towards his chest. He works so hard to keep up with his brothers and sisters. The litter was 6 and all others have now been adopted out. He has not yet been to a vet - wanted to leave that to his new owner. Was wormed with Strongid at 2, 4, and 6 weeks old. No other shots as of yet - just turned 8 weeks old this past Sunday. All this beautiful boy wants is LOVE!

Story
Jude is a 40 lb 1 yr old Border Collie mix.  His energy on a scale of 1-10 is 15.  He can jump 4 ft in the air without issue and scale a 5 foot barrier without flinching. Jude would likely make a great agility dog for someone.  He will NEED a significant amount of exercise daily and anyone that has interest will also need to continue basic obedience with him.  He already knows some commands.  He is a candidate for our prison training program once he heals up from his neuter surgery. Jude is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, wormed, and microchipped. Anyone with interest can stop at the shelter to meet him and complete an application to be considered. Story
Lainey is a 1 1/2 year old black lab, border collie husky mix. She is a very smart girl with puppy tendency’s. She needs a place where she can run and explore. She is very hyper. We got her from a family friend who couldn’t take her with her when they moved. She had become too much for us to handle, as we live on a busy road and she likes to run. She has been around kids, however, she is too hyper and likes to jump. So a home without any small kids would be best. She is a very strong dog and does not do well on a leash as she pulls a lot. We have tried working with her but she just wants to run. We have not had a chance to get her fixed or get her up to date on her shots. Looking for a family who would love to cuddle on her and let her live her best live! Our life style just doesn’t seem to match up to her life style. She has not been around any other dogs buts acts very aggressive with the neighbor dogs. She is not a fan of cats she doesn’t hurt them but will chase them.

Story
Update on Charlie: Charlie has been settling into his foster home and is doing very well. He enjoys taking walks, playing ball, and being outside. He absolutely craves being the center of attention and is more than happy to sit by your side, letting you pet him until one of you falls asleep. He has started working on clicker training to learn basic commands. He does a great job in his crate and is working on learning to settle and rest outside of the crate as well. Charlie was a last-minute save from a shelter in Ohio. Charlie has had a rough start in life and needs some structure and guidance to be the best dog he can be! He currently is in a boarding facility, where he is well-loved by the staff, and we are looking to place him into a foster home soon. He has an injury to his left rear thigh but is recovering nicely. He loves going on walks and does well on leash. He also enjoys playing ball in the yard. From what we've seen and tested, he seems to do well with other dogs but we would recommend only one other dog in the house with him. He doesn't do well with cats, since he wants to chase them. He is house and crate trained, neutered and UTD on vaccines. See Charlie and all his friends on our page https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northeast Ohio Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org

Story
London is pretty amazing. In less than two weeks he has gone from barely getting out of his crate with humans present to soliciting scratchies. He plays with Miss Blueberry, our Aussie pup for hours every day. He is for sure going to become a cuddle bug. He also loves to follow us humans around and watch what we are doing. He is still skittish about new things but is adjusting very well and very quickly with the help of his foster sister. He is still scared to go outside though. Please reach out for more info and watch for updates as he develops in his foster home. Please visit London and his friends on our web page. https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northern Illinois Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org
