Story
Jojo is a very shy, sweet, timid dog who loves to play. He was very very submissive to other dogs no matter the size whether it be a small as a teacup or as big as a German Shepard jojo was always up to run around and play. Not until me moved homes he’s being acting different. He snapped on myself, brother and law and most recently my 1 year old daughter. For the most part he’s very friendly yet shy dog but never showed any signs of aggression excluding those occasions.

He would do best with another dog who likes to play and a fenced yard to stretch his long legs in! He is in foster learning how to be a good companion. He is now crate and potty trained. A home to keep working on his good manners is a must. Adoption fee is $250 and he is neutered, current on vaccines, chipped, heartworm negative and up to date on preventions. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Doug is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Terrier mix dog.  He adjusted to the routine of our house quickly (which includes two middle sized dogs) and learned basic commands at such a fast pace that he either knew them already or is super bright. He loves to play but is also calm and snuggly. He is quite interested in squirrels so care should be had when opening the door as he will want to pursue - just tell him to stay and he listens.  We have not crate trained Doug as he is can be trusted while we are gone from the house.  He will occasionally find something naughty to chew but that is very rare.  He will do fine if his family leaves the house for work daily.   Doug loves a walk on the leash and is totally housebroken.  He has loved other dogs and people we have met in our travels. We do not have children in the home so I don’t have any experience with how he would be there. He can jump a 4-foot fence so he must be leashed if in a 4 foot or less fenced yard. Having a 5/6 foot fence would be ideal. He would be great as an only dog but would be very happy to have a furry sibling to play with like he has in our home.   He is a rather quiet dog except when he gets excited.   Doug is a great dog and will make his forever family very happy.  His markings are beautiful, and his fur is so soft!  If Doug sounds like he could fit into your family, please contact us to me him INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DOUG? Alice is a 3-5 year old blue heeler cattle dog mix, she weighs about 31 pounds Alice was surrender by her owner at shelter.  Alice is heartworm positive which the rescue is treating. She loves all people and kids.  Alice would be best as a only dog, and due to her breed no cats. She is housetrained, leash trained, and crate trained. Alice is a super sweet very active girl who loves car rides and to give kisses. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
