Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Cornelius a.k.a. Buddy is 1 year-old and 65lbs of fluffy love! Buddy is the perfect name for him because he is very sweet and snuggly and loves attention- especially belly rubs. He loves every human he meets and is good with female dogs. He is very submissive but will need to be introduced slowly to male dogs. He is playful with males that are smaller than him. He loves to play with his female canine foster siblings, and would definitely appreciate another dog in the house.   Buddy can get pretty attached to his person, so just watch your feet when you are cooking! He is getting more and more independent at home He is, about 80% of the time, just laying around. He's generally a pretty lazy little man.   Buddy is house broken, crate trained, and does especially well with a good chew, like antlers or yak cheese. He has come a long way and can sit and shake and we are working on perfecting his recall.   He has been trained out of jumping, but he does still paw for attention a bit. He loves to snuggle with the 7yo and 5yo tiny humans in his foster home, but can be shy about anyone running up to him. Respectful kids are appreciated for him! He enjoys walks around the neighborhood and is respectful of passersby. He's also gone on short runs with his foster dad, but he's definitely a lazy boy that would rather be snuggling. He is learning everyday what the good life is all about but he will need patience as he adjust to a loving life, he's just a bit shy at first. When this guy trusts you, you will see he is really just a kind, loving, big, bumbling Buddy Boy. Story
Cooper has a big personality and even more hair! For the most part he is chill and if you let him on the couch he will nap at your feet but he still likes to get up and play with his family. He has been good with our children, no bite history whatsoever. He has been around other dogs and is playful but we’ve never had a cat so I’m not sure how he would handle that but to be on the safe side I would say no. He needs a fence and someone willing to work with him on a few things like bath time and leash walking. We are estimating his birthday to be around April of 2015.

Story
Say Hello to George: The Mellow, Fluffy Sweetheart! At 4 months and 30lbs, George is the ultimate cuddle buddy with a smart and lovable personality. While he’s more both active and mellow and chill, he still enjoys a good time romping and having active playtime and especially loves the great outdoors—cool, crisp weather is his favorite! Georgie Boy would do best with kids 12 and older and playing with dogs that are over 35 pounds.  We anticipate that Georgie will be a 60-65 pound boy himself as an adult. This social boy is smart and is a talker.  He gets along great with other animals and made fast friends with a senior dog and a cat in his foster home. If you’re looking for a sweet Border Collie mix companion who loves both playtime and snuggles, George is your guy! Ready to bring George home?Critter Cavalry Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Middle Tennessee but delivers to the Northeast weekly. Story
This handsome black and white darling boy is called Ross and we have determined that he is a Border Collie/Border Terrier mix that is estimated to be 12 weeks old and weighs 14 pounds.  This boy and his sister, Rachel, were abandoned in a small rural area of Tennessee at a cabin that was a parttime retreat for a family that lived 200 miles away.  Fortunately ,the cabin’s doorbell camera  caught these puppies being abandoned and alerted the property owner that these poor puppies were in trouble with no food or water anywhere around.  To make matters worse, impending frigid weather was on its way to their area.  The doors opened and rescue forces got to work quickly to go and pick up the puppies and carry them to a Critter Cavalry Rescue foster home.   This puppy and his sister are both smart and anxious to please.  Ross wants to be someone's special Valentine. He is crate trained and learning what it's like to be in a warm and loving home.  It's hard to imagine that only 2 weeks ago some cold-hearted person dumped him and his sister Rachel to possibly die from lack of care or food.  God was with them in finding immediate help and they have been worth every effort.  So sweet and loving and innocent.  Beautiful pups with wiry faces and sleek Terrier bodies that bring a smile when you meet them.  Ross is being neutered on Feb. 4th and will be ready for a forever home on Valentine’s Day.  We estimate that he will grow to be a 40 pound handsome boy that will bring so much fun, love and adventure to the person or persons who adopt him.  If you are wanting a wonderful rescue puppy to raise and love then please consider Ross.   Critter Cavalry Rescue transports from Nashville, Tn to the northeast and of course local Tennessee adoptions are welcome, too.  Please email asking for an application to ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 3, 2025, 10:00 pm
