Story
Our family adopted Millie when she was about 2 months old. Millie is a sweet girl, but as our family has grown and our dog allergies have worsened, she would benefit from being in a new home with lots of space to run around and where she can get more one on one attention. Millie is extremely intelligent and follows commands well, however, she is an anxious dog. With our growing family, she has become even more anxious with the commotion of having younger kids in the home. Millie does fair with other dogs but can occasionally get rowdy when on the leash and wants to say hi to another dog but feels restricted. She has a lot of love to give, and she would be the perfect companion for someone who is equally energetic!

Story
Meet Collins, Tom Collins Tom is a distinguished older gentleman with a Tux to match the adorable spotted socks. He would look quite dapper with a bow tie and a martini. Tom is well trained and has excellent house manners. He is easy on walks and in a fenced yard. He is very gentle and would make a great couch potato, but he currently doesn't understand comfort preferring to lay on the floor. His first few days in his foster home were full of uncertainties, like doors and stairs. He has overcome those obstacles and enjoys free roaming of the house. He has shown no interest in toys, kongs, or bones but with love, patience, and compassion, the right family could bring him out of his shell

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Doug is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Terrier mix dog.  He adjusted to the routine of our house quickly (which includes two middle sized dogs) and learned basic commands at such a fast pace that he either knew them already or is super bright. He loves to play but is also calm and snuggly. He is quite interested in squirrels so care should be had when opening the door as he will want to pursue - just tell him to stay and he listens.  We have not crate trained Doug as he is can be trusted while we are gone from the house.  He will occasionally find something naughty to chew but that is very rare.  He will do fine if his family leaves the house for work daily.   Doug loves a walk on the leash and is totally housebroken.  He has loved other dogs and people we have met in our travels. We do not have children in the home so I don’t have any experience with how he would be there. He can jump a 4-foot fence so he must be leashed if in a 4 foot or less fenced yard. Having a 5/6 foot fence would be ideal. He would be great as an only dog but would be very happy to have a furry sibling to play with like he has in our home.   He is a rather quiet dog except when he gets excited.   Doug is a great dog and will make his forever family very happy.  His markings are beautiful, and his fur is so soft!  If Doug sounds like he could fit into your family, please contact us to me him INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DOUG? Story
Meet Jolene! Jolene is in search of a loving foster (in the Raleigh area) or a forever home! At just 34 pounds, she’s the perfect-sized companion who adores her stuffed toys and snuggles. Currently staying with our trainer, she’s been learning so much and thriving. Jolene has plenty of energy and would do great in a busy, active home that can keep her engaged. While she absolutely loves every human she meets, she prefers to be the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention. This doesn’t make her any less wonderful—it just means she loves being the star! We’re hoping to find Jolene a forever family who will give her the love she deserves. Story
JoJo is a big, beautiful border collie-shepherd mix adult. Weighing in at just over 70 lbs, this is a very healthy, well adjusted pup. JoJo does not let other dogs distract him from the task at hand: sniff and explore! JoJo has a gorgeous black and tan coat with soft ears that just beg for loving rubs and we aren't even mentioning the waves in that coat...it is a sight to behold! Jojo is an independent guy who does his own thing and enjoys being outside and exploring. As his breed mix would suggest, he is very active and prefers all kind of regular stimulation. He does well with his female doggo counterparts but does not need another dog to be happy as he would be fine with you and yours. With his majestic tail wagging away, there is no way you cannot smile when he hits you with his dark sweet eyes! Come see JoJo soon and make him a part of your winter snuggles!

Story
Max is the sweetest boy. He loves to curl up on his bed and lie in the sun. He enjoys short walks. He has epilepsy, his seizures have been well controlled on medication twice daily. He has arthritis in his hips so he is not as active as he used to be. I am relocating for work and unable to take Max and his sister. I rescued him in 2016. I am very sad to rehome him.
