Meet Charlie Barkley. He is a sweet, playful awesome dog who is very easy to love. He walks on a leash but needs additional training as he pulls. He knows some basic commands but does need a bit more training. Charlie is a 1 to 1 1/2 year old neutered male who weighs approximately 52 lbs. He was originally adopted by a family that decided they no longer wanted him so they dumped him in a south Nashville neighborhood. Charlie was found by a nice family that took him but cannot keep him because they have older cats. They would love to add him to their family but it just win't work out. He's been vet checked, is current on his vaccines and is in excellent health. Charlie is full of puppy energy and ready to play ball with the children. He needs a younger active and energetic family who can give him the exercise and play that he needs. A fecned in yard is a MUST for Charlie. When not playing, by the way ball is his favorite game, he loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Charlie is patiently waiting for his forever family to find him. Story

We adopted ace from a shelter in Chicago when he was 3 months. He is now 5 years old. Will be turning 6 in November. Ace is an active dog. Adores going on walks, playing fetch or simply running anywhere and everywhere. He is a ball of energy and loves to play above all else. Caring dog and is always around no matter what we are doing wether it be cooking or watching tv he will just lay where he can see us. He is house trained and will even ring a bell if he needs to go outside. All his vaccinations are up to date and has never had any health issues. He has always been good with smaller dogs. However, he does get nervous with larger dogs. Had a couple incidents when he was a puppy in which a larger dog was aggressive at a park. He is not good with kids as they make him nervous and the chaos of toddlers is too much for him. We are rehoming ace because of our one year old. According to a concerned citizen, Laila’s owner fell ill and Laila escaped through an open gate. She was found a stray on the streets of Charlotte. While fending for herself, she became pregnant on the streets. She was almost full term when she was spayed and her babies terminated. After her surgery, Laila experienced a seizure in her kennel. She was found unresponsive on the cold, hard kennel floor. She came to and seemed fine. Laila was soon taken into foster care. Her first foster only had her for a short time, but it was there that she bonded with a stuffed squirrel. Laila took that squirrel everywhere and groomed it like the puppies she had lost. Soon after, she was moved to a second foster. After a month, she was unable to stay in that home. I am her third foster. Sweet Laila has blossomed in our home. She is perfectly house trained, can be left out (no crate needed!), loves kids, dog friendly, and literally the best snuggle bug ever. Laila loves to be around her person. She will sleep on the bed with you or in a dog bed next to your bed. She will patiently wait for you while you are out and about and is always excited to see you when you come home! She now has a Baby Dino that she grooms and takes everywhere. She is a true mama pup at heart. Laila would love a furever home. She is the sweetest pup who truly just wants to be loved. Coco is a great dog, she is good with kids and other dogs. Not sure about cats, but I cannot imagine she would have an issue. We have come to the tough decision of rehoming her because she is not getting the attention and dedication she needs from us and it is not fair to her. We lead very busy lives and unfortunately, she has gotten bored so she has now started running out of our property. She will be 3 years old in January, she is up to date on shots, microchipped, and is fixed. She has an excellent temperament, she listens when called, house trained, crate trained. Does well on the leash, but could use some work. Ideally she would fit in with a family that is outdoorsy, with lots of space for her to run around, and with time to play with her.

Dash is a sweet 1 1/2 year old boy rescued from a shelter. He is a cuddle bug that loves to receive and give affection. He is house trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, and leave. We would love to keep him, however he does not get along well with our other dog. He would do best in a home without other dogs. We are unsure of how he would do with small children. Dash tested heartworm positive and is currently on medication. He will need additional veterinary care for this very treatable condition. Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier. Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home. She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate. She is not leash trained but is trying to improve. We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day. Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her. Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.
