Meet Jolene! Jolene is in search of a loving foster (in the Raleigh area) or a forever home! At just 34 pounds, she’s the perfect-sized companion who adores her stuffed toys and snuggles. Currently staying with our trainer, she’s been learning so much and thriving. Jolene has plenty of energy and would do great in a busy, active home that can keep her engaged. While she absolutely loves every human she meets, she prefers to be the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention. This doesn’t make her any less wonderful—it just means she loves being the star! We’re hoping to find Jolene a forever family who will give her the love she deserves. Hello all! This is Floof and she is a very energetic girl who is looking for her forever home with a family that can take her on lots of adventures! She loves treats and is super food motivated, so basic training should be a breeze for her. Floof is a type of herding breed and because of this, she can sometimes get carried away with her natural `herding instinct`. Due to this, we highly recommend that Floof goes into a home with older children and with a family that is familiar with her breed and their specific tendencies. As always we recommend slow and monitored introductions between her and other people/animals over a period of time so ensure that she will fit into your lifestyle. Floof (as you might can expect) has long fur and will need regular grooming to ensure that her coat stays as healthy as possible.

Lucy is an adorable Border Collie mix with a great smile! She loves going on long walks and even sits politely when you leash her to go outside. Lucy enjoys traveling and is a great running partner. She loves snuggles and belly rubs. Lucy does well with sleeping on her own, with free access to her crate. She is a good listener, and overall well-behaved other than her jealousy/aggression issues. She is an anxious dog and we have given her calming medications in the past. Lucy was originally owned by a relative that adopted her from a shelter. Our relative could no longer care for her because of how active Lucy is. Our relative had a chihuahua and three other cats that Lucy did well with. From what we have seen in the past, Lucy does well with kids. We have seen that she must warm up to younger men.

Loves the family& kids but is uncertain about other children. Dislikes strangers and may growl if unsure about them. Becomes aggressive at the vet, nips at staff, and dislikes nail trimming. Habits: When bored, chases shadows and stares at lights. Knows basic commands like shake, sit, and lie down. Challenges: Tends to attack people during walks. Previously went through a two-week training program to improve behavior, with mixed results. Gets aggressive around visitors. Energy and Space Needs: ; Very energetic; needs plenty of physical activity and mental engagement. Would benefit from a fenced yard or a country setting for running and playing. Our family adopted Millie when she was about 2 months old. Millie is a sweet girl, but as our family has grown and our dog allergies have worsened, she would benefit from being in a new home with lots of space to run around and where she can get more one on one attention. Millie is extremely intelligent and follows commands well, however, she is an anxious dog. With our growing family, she has become even more anxious with the commotion of having younger kids in the home. Millie does fair with other dogs but can occasionally get rowdy when on the leash and wants to say hi to another dog but feels restricted. She has a lot of love to give, and she would be the perfect companion for someone who is equally energetic!
