Story
Chevy would love to be the center of someone’s universe and he definitely deserves it! This handsome guy is a 7 year old border collie/ lab mix with a lot of energy! Unfortunately, he was never exercised in his previous home and when a baby was added to the mix, he was no longer given the amount of affection that he once had. Chevy would do best in a home without other dogs. He walks nicely with other dogs when introduced properly, but could benefit from additional training. It is unknown how he is with cats, but because of his interest in other small critters we think it would be best not to risk it. He’s a sweet boy who loves to play ball and go for long walks. Because of his size and energy, an adult only home or home with older children would be best. Chevy has been in a boarding facility for 4 months and is desperately hoping to find a loving home soon! He barks for a few minutes when being left alone, so a single family home is needed.

Story
Mia is a 3 year old purebred Border Collie that was brought over to the United States from Colombia in June 2021. She has a brown and white coat and is more on the heavy side around 60 lbs. She is great with people and kids, though she can be territorial with other dogs. Our family was able to take care of her until our father passed away suddenly in April 2023. Since then, we have moved to a significantly smaller house and changed our work scheduled, making it difficult to care for her and our other two dogs. We would like her to go to a home that has plenty of outdoor space and a dog-loving family that wants a companion that constantly wants to be cuddled.

Story
Laila was rescued from the streets of Boulder, CO, and became a part of our family at around five years old.In the three years since, she has shown herself to be an outstanding dog, exhibiting a calm nature that resonates with everyone she meets. Laila is lively yet responds well to training, demonstrating good behavior indoors, around food, and with children. However, she encounters difficulties with other dogs. Although she has canine friends and currently lives with another dog, it takes time and training for her to feel at ease sharing her space. When meeting new dogs, Laila often reacts with confusion and protectiveness, which can result in aggressive behavior. There have been a few instances of dog fights involving bites, but thankfully, no serious injuries occurred. So, being highly attentive to this issue coupled with ample space to run freely, and perhaps in a home without other dogs, you can experience Laila and her unique ability to bring calm to the people around her.

Story
Meet our rare and beautiful Jolene, a stunning 3-year-old, 35-pound Red Merle Border Collie with a heart full of joy and a personality that will melt the heart as well! Jolene is playful, friendly, and always eager to greet her favorite people with a low, charming howl. She’s a social butterfly who loves children, adores cuddles, and thrives in the company of other dogs and even cats. This intelligent girl enjoys playing ball and is incredibly responsive to commands. She knows how to sit, stay, come, and heel, and she excels on a leash with the guidance of a strong leader—walking right at your side when told to 'heel.' True to her Border Collie nature, Jolene is a quick learner who seems to understand what you’re thinking before you even say it! While Jolene was house-trained as a puppy, she’s spent most of her recent time outdoors on a farm. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard but is not suited for a home with chickens or livestock she is tempted to chase.  Her vibrant energy, loyal disposition, and affectionate nature make her the perfect companion for an active family who is ready to give her all the love and attention she deserves.  N We would like to know if a responding and adoptive family has any hurting breed experience in owning a dog. They are uniquely intelligent and training sensitive dogs.  Ready to bring Jolene home? Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Let’s find this amazing girl her forever family! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 18, 2024, 7:24 pm

Story
Hello. Our names are Nadia (F), Kinsey (M), Nathan (M), and Skeeter (M). Our rescuer was told our mom was a Belgian Malinois and dad was a Border Collie. We were born on July 8, 2023. We were turned over to the rescue lady when we were little babies. There were eight of us. Not long after arriving, we started to get sick. We four were and are the healthiest. When we were out playing in the yard, she often asked us where the babies went, who was sweet and shy. Who switched them out of your energizer bunnies, then laughed as we ran around like crazy kids? We are brilliant, treat motivated (easy to train), sulk when scolded, crate trained, shy at first but warm up quickly, not house or leash trained (quick learners), like cats, submissive to other dogs, and have never been around children. Our foster mom has commented how wonderful we would be on an agility course.  I want to go hiking, go to the beach, run around on snow deeper than I am tall, curl up with you in front of the fireplace, and watch a movie. I have only heard my foster mom talking about most of this stuff. If you have patience and teach me, I will love doing whatever you do. Please request an application to begin the adoption process at alittlelonger2home@gmail.com.
