Story
Piper is a well trained dog and she’s loved. She knows many basic commands (sit, stay, come, crate). She is good with teens and older kids but not good with toddlers or young kids and does sometimes nip at strangers. She’s good with most other dogs. She is a great hiking buddy. She’s 4, I’ve had her since she was about 4 months old. Her father is a border collie and working farm dog, Piper inherited his intelligence and drive. My schedule doesn’t allow me to give her as much daily exercise and stimulation as she needs. Her boredom leads to aggression toward my older dog. An ideal situation for her would be an active person or couple, an adopter interested in agility training, someone who needs a daily running buddy, or a farm or environment where she could have a job. She’s incredibly smart, affectionate, she needs more activity than I can give her. She’s up to date on all shots, 42 lbs, and eats a standard diet (no known allergies).

Story
Chevy would love to be the center of someone’s universe and he definitely deserves it! This handsome guy is a 7 year old border collie/ lab mix with a lot of energy! Unfortunately, he was never exercised in his previous home and when a baby was added to the mix, he was no longer given the amount of affection that he once had. Chevy would do best in a home without other dogs. He walks nicely with other dogs when introduced properly, but could benefit from additional training. It is unknown how he is with cats, but because of his interest in other small critters we think it would be best not to risk it. He’s a sweet boy who loves to play ball and go for long walks. Because of his size and energy, an adult only home or home with older children would be best. Chevy has been in a boarding facility for 4 months and is desperately hoping to find a loving home soon! He barks for a few minutes when being left alone, so a single family home is needed.

Story
Everleigh is a sweet border collie mix that I adopted from the MSPCA in 2015 when she was 12 weeks old. She has been my beloved pet ever since living the best life. Over the years she showed some aggressive tendencies towards children although managed closely enough to where she never had an opportunity to actually bite. We had a child two years ago and I was hopeful that she would be okay with my child since she was exposure to the baby since she was born. Unfortunately as my daughter became mobile I saw the same aggressive tendencies and can not risk something serious happening. I have made significant efforts to keep them separated but unfortunately it is causing increased anxiety to Everleigh and she is just not happy which is not fair to her. I am now at this point where l want to find someone who will love her and spoil her in her remaining life as her quality of life with my family is no longer best for her.

Story
Mia is a 3 year old purebred Border Collie that was brought over to the United States from Colombia in June 2021. She has a brown and white coat and is more on the heavy side around 60 lbs. She is great with people and kids, though she can be territorial with other dogs. Our family was able to take care of her until our father passed away suddenly in April 2023. Since then, we have moved to a significantly smaller house and changed our work scheduled, making it difficult to care for her and our other two dogs. We would like her to go to a home that has plenty of outdoor space and a dog-loving family that wants a companion that constantly wants to be cuddled.
