Estimated to be around 5-6 months old now, they are healthy and happy young pups ready to find their own families! Chips, who is white with black markings, is sweet and just a touch shy! She loves people but can be a little less confident than her more outgoing sister in new surroundings.  Chips definitely enjoys the company of other dogs, her ideal home will have another medium to large dog that can be both her playmate and her role model for being brave. Chips has also met young cats and didn’t seem overly interested in them. Included in the adoption fee for Chips is a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. She has already been introduced to basic cues like sit and down and responded very quickly in just the first few minutes, including an intro to clicker training. This girl is smart and eager to please, we can’t wait to introduce her to you!   The adoption fee for Chips is $300 it includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, and preventatives plus a free basic training course. Story
Zeke! We can't get enough of this pint sized guy around here! From his exuberant, lively, and oh so lovely personality! At about 1.5 years old, weighing in around 40 pounds, he is that PERFECT companion size, where he's large enough to do stuff himself, and portable enough to take anywhere, everywhere, or nowhere at all! On those lazy nights in! Zeke is beyond a quality dog, as he's cuddly, friendly, and beyond all means; SO INTELLIGENT! He's the type of dog you could train to do ANYTHING, and most likely only within a few minutes! He's confident, and beyond personable as he greets everyone with a wiggly butt, wagging tail, and SO MANY kisses! Don't get me wrong, he may sound like the energizer bunny, but don't worry, he's not too extreme. Zeke has a great on/off switch even in the shelter, whether it's in the sun through a window, or out in the dog yard, he finds comfort just about anywhere! It is the most darling thing, every time he finds the perfect spot to rest, he either circles around a few times, begins digging a little, or will ruffle up a blanket to get his bed juuuuustttt right! From his entire life in a home, we know he is house-trained. We also know for a FACT he is crate-trained, and knows all of his basic commands! Especially for a beef liver treat! Zeker will do splendid in just about ANY home prepared for a border collie!
