Story
- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train - Smart girl who knows sit- Prefers to explore and do their own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once they're in a home environment and have had time to decompress - Can do well with dogs, ends to be socially awkward with other dogs (dog intro recommended) - Does well on a leash - All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age- The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, and not breed label Primary Color: White Weight: 44 Age: 5yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Hi there, I'm Klover! I'm still young and full of life, always ready for a game of fetch or a long walk. I've got energy to spare, but don't worry, I'm smart too! I learn new tricks quickly and I'm always eager to please. I'm also really friendly. I love meeting new people and I get along well with other dogs. Playtime is my favorite, whether it's a game of tug-of-war or just running around. But after a day of fun, I love nothing more than cuddling up for a good night's sleep. So why should you adopt me? Well, besides my sweet nature and playful spirit, I promise to be your loyal companion, your best friend, and the best part of your day, every day. I can't wait to meet you! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2247406##

Sid (we named him after the Sloth in Ice Age) was dumped we believe because he has some deformities - he has a large under bite and his lower left leg is a little crooked HOWEVER he does not know he is deformed - he runs with the best of them and is very playful - our vet does not see any potential health issues - he has not been neutered yet due to his age
